claude-youtube-editor: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

claude-youtube-editor CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from hassancs91/claude-youtube-editor. It costs 1,783 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A project guide for creating edited YouTube videos with Claude Code and Remotion. Remotion is a tool for building videos from TypeScript and React code, including on-screen graphics and animations.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for brand setup, removing pauses or filler, creating diagrams and screen-style overlays, cleaning voice audio, planning sound effects, and preparing titles or thumbnails.
Why use it?
It maps common video-editing requests to the project’s skills and output files. This reduces uncertainty about how to cut footage, add visuals, clean audio, and package a video.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01783 $0.01783
Opus 5 $0.00892 $0.00892
Sonnet 5 $0.00357 $0.00357
Haiku 4.5 $0.00178 $0.00178

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-youtube-editor CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

CLAUDE.md — claude-youtube-editor

You record the talking head. Claude Code does the rest. Every screen moment — UI walkthroughs, full-screen statements, diagrams, terminal mockups — is built as Remotion TSX and composited over your cut. No screen recording, no video editor. The right skill is picked from the request:

The user asks to… Skill Output
set up / change their brand, colors, fonts, wordmark /brand-setup brand.md + remotion/src/{brand.ts,fonts.ts} + a proof render
cut the raw footage / tighten pacing / remove fillers /clean-cut master cut + videos/<project>/work/{analysis/cuts.json, edited-transcript.json}
build the visual beats / add overlays /make-tsx (+ /fake-screencast) shots in remotion/src/shots/<project>/ + a baked preview
write a crash-free TSX shot /vidtsx-2d-generator the low-level Remotion authoring rules
remove background noise / isolate voice /clean-audio a cleaned master (levels preserved)
add SFX / sound-design a beat /suggest-sfx videos/<project>/work/sfx-plan.json + an audition mix
package a video / titles + thumbnails /packaging videos/<project>/packaging/ (1 title × 3 thumbnail bets + rendered thumbs)
make / iterate thumbnails only /thumbnail rendered + verified frames in videos/<project>/packaging/thumbs/ (asks which style elements you want)
upload it tools/yt_upload.py a private draft on YouTube
track it / put it in Notion tools/notion_sync.py the video's row in the Notion content tracker

The pipeline order is: cut → visuals → voice → SFX → packaging → upload.

brand.md is the style contract every step-2+ skill reads (palette, motion, delivery specs, SFX taste). remotion/src/brand.ts + fonts.ts are the same contract as code — /brand-setup owns all three together; they drift silently if you hand-edit one.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
