Files SDK is a storage library that gives applications one interface for reading and writing objects across blob-storage backends such as S3, R2, and MinIO. It is for developers who need storage access without adapting their code to each provider, and the catalogue skill works with this SDK.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.04526 | $0.04526 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.01810 | $0.01810 |

Grade A, and why
files-sdk AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 162 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md
Guidance for coding agents working in this repository. Humans should read .github/CONTRIBUTING.md first; this file assumes you have, and records what an agent needs beyond it: the exact commands, the invariants that are easy to break, and the checklists for the tasks that recur here.
What this repo is
files-sdk is a unified storage SDK for object/blob backends: one Files class, one Adapter interface, 49 adapters and 16 plugins, each published as its own subpath (files-sdk/s3, files-sdk/validation, …). It also ships a files CLI + MCP server, app-layer gateways for most web frameworks, and useFiles bindings for React/Vue/Svelte.

Design intent that decides most API questions:
- Common subset, not lowest common denominator. Core exposes only what every adapter can do cleanly. Provider-specific features go behind
files.raw(the native client). "Useraw" beats "add it to the core". - Fail loud, never degrade silently. If an adapter can't honor an option (
range, delimiter, metadata, cacheControl, control), theFileswrapper throws before any provider I/O (and before any plugin runs), gated on the adapter's declaredcapabilitiesobject. Plugins that can't enforce a guarantee fail closed. - Web-standard I/O. Bodies are
Blob/File/ReadableStream/bytes/string. No provider types leak into the public surface. - Errors are normalized to
FilesError, original error incause. A provider's answer maps toNotFound | Unauthorized | Conflict | Provider(ProviderFilesErrorCode); the SDK itself throwsInvalid(the call is wrong: bad argument, contradictory option, bad config),Unsupported(well-formed, but this adapter/mode/plugin stack can't do it), andReadOnly. Those three are deterministic, never retried, and map to a gateway422(ReadOnly→403); onlyProviderretries. Don't throwProviderfor a refusal. - Optional peers are never bundled and never statically imported from a path that a consumer might take without installing them. See "Bundling".
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

files-sdk AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository haydenbleasel/files-sdk (1,598 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 4,526 tokens to every session, about $0.0181 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-20.
