llm-wiki-loop: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

llm-wiki-loop AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from helicerat/llm-wiki-loop. It costs 242 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for llm-wiki-loop, a system that measures tested claims across coding agents. They explain where its schema and skills live and require its measurement value to change only after recorded outcomes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when working on the project, copying its skills to another agent, or running its claim and outcome linter.
Why use it?
They preserve the project’s rules across Codex, OpenCode, and other agent environments, preventing untested edits to its results.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; reads ~/.codex paths.

This is helicerat/llm-wiki-loop's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on llm-wiki-loop itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything llm-wiki-loop configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00242 $0.00242
Opus 5.5 $0.00097 $0.00097
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00048 $0.00048
Haiku 4.5 $0.00024 $0.00024

Security

Grade A, and why

llm-wiki-loop AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agents

The schema lives in CLAUDE.md. Read it first — it holds the layer boundaries, the claim contract, and the state transitions, and none of it is Claude-specific.

Skills are plain markdown in .claude/skills/. Any agent that reads a skill directory can run them; symlink or copy the folder to wherever yours looks:

# Codex
cp -r .claude/skills ~/.codex/skills/llm-wiki-loop

# OpenCode
ln -s "$PWD/.claude/skills" ~/.opencode/skills/llm-wiki-loop

The linter has no agent dependency at all:

python scripts/lint.py

The one rule to carry across every host

n is incremented only by wiki-measure, only from an entry in outcomes/outcomes.jsonl, one increment per artifact.

An agent that edits n directly has broken the only thing here that distinguishes a tested belief from a confident one, and the linter will catch it as CLAIM-3 on the next run.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
