heurist-finance: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

heurist-finance AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from heurist-network/heurist-finance. It costs 2,338 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of coding instructions for Heurist Finance, an AI-assisted financial research terminal. It routes research requests through services such as company filings, economic data, market data, and web search, then sends results to a text interface.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for financial research tasks such as analysing companies, comparing investments, studying markets or sectors, reviewing economic conditions, assessing risk, and tracking items of interest.
Why use it?
It gives the agent a defined way to choose research workflows and keep the financial system's components and responsibilities clear.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02338 $0.02338
Opus 5 $0.01169 $0.01169
Sonnet 5 $0.00468 $0.00468
Haiku 4.5 $0.00234 $0.00234

Security

Grade A, and why

heurist-finance AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Heurist Finance

Agent-driven financial research terminal. A Heurist Mesh marketplace skill that turns any AI agent into a sell-side research desk with a Bloomberg-style TUI.

The agent is the orchestrator. It reads SKILL.md for identity and protocol, routes to a sub-skill, calls MCP tools for live data, and either POSTs rendered blocks to the TUI or outputs markdown directly.

Boundaries

What this repo contains:

  • Skill instructions that control agent behavior (SKILL.md, skills/*/SKILL.md)
  • TUI server and renderer (terminal/)
  • Visual components — pure functions that produce ANSI output (src/components/)
  • Data shape schemas for panel validation (terminal/schemas/)
  • ANSI primitives, formatters, themes, markdown renderer (src/)
  • CLI tools (bin/)
  • Tests (colocated *.test.js files, run with vitest)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
