solo AGENTS.md

solo AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from hiero-ledger/solo. It costs 361 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of instructions for AI agents working in the Hiero Ledger Solo repository. It points to the project's authoritative style, architecture, and contribution rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing Solo code, especially when organizing classes and interfaces, checking dependency cycles, or formatting before a commit.
Why use it?
It helps agents avoid common TypeScript structure and formatting mistakes, including circular dependencies and incorrect exports.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00361 $0.00361
Opus 5 $0.00180 $0.00180
Sonnet 5 $0.00072 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00036 $0.00036

Measured 3d ago against content hash 54ed9764be6e, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

solo AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent instructions for hiero-ledger/solo

This file orients AI coding agents (GitHub Copilot coding agent and compatible tools). Solo's conventions are defined once and referenced here — do not duplicate them:

Most-violated rules (read the style guide for the rest)

  • No exported functions. Group behavior on a class as static methods; do not export function or export const fn = () => … at module scope. Pure data (constants, types) may be exported. Helpers used by one class become private static members. (§3.4.5, §10.3.1–§10.3.2; enforced by solo/no-exported-function.)
  • One exported class/interface per file, file named in kebab-case matching it. (§3.5) Splitting interfaces into separate files can introduce circular dependencies — always verify with npx dpdm --no-warning --no-tree --exit-code circular:1 ./solo.ts after any such move.
  • import {type X} (inline), explicit type annotations everywhere, no banned abbreviations, SPDX header on every source file.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
