Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01016 $0.01016
Opus 5 $0.00508 $0.00508
Sonnet 5 $0.00203 $0.00203
Haiku 4.5 $0.00102 $0.00102

Security

Grade A, and why

Wizards-of-the-Ghosts AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Mission

wizardsoftheghosts turns D&D spells and skills into practical AI skills for two first-class release surfaces:

  • Hermes Agent (primary)
  • OpenClaw

The point is not parody for its own sake. The point is to treat fantasy magic as a design language for real AI capabilities: workflow orchestration, translation, monitoring, reasoning, simulation, device control, and careful acts of software manipulation.

Source Of Truth

Always work from these files in this order:

  1. catalog/canon.json Generated public canon list.
  2. catalog/blueprints.json Actual reinterpretation layer.
  3. scripts/render-skills.mjs Provider-specific output generator.
  4. catalog/linear-seed.json and catalog/linear-seed.csv Linear backlog export artifacts.

Never hand-edit generated output in generated/ unless you are explicitly testing a change to the renderer.

Core Model

Each entry must preserve these axes:

  • reality_tier
    • shipping-now
    • prototype
    • speculative
  • literalness
    • metaphorical
    • hybrid
    • literal

Use shipping-now when the skill is actually operational today with current tools. Use prototype when the idea is plausible now but needs glue code, plugins, webhooks, or device boundaries. Use speculative when the idea is interesting but not honestly deliverable yet.

Workflow

Default local workflow:

npm run sync:canon
npm run expand:blueprints
npm run build:skills
npm run export:linear

Or just:

npm run bootstrap

Hermes Skills

This repo ships Hermes Agent skills under generated/hermes/.

  • The runtime install target is ~/.hermes/skills/ or $HERMES_HOME/skills/.
  • Run npm run install:hermes-skills to copy generated skills into the Hermes runtime directory.
  • Run HERMES_HOME=$PWD/.hermes npm run install:hermes-skills for workspace-local testing.
  • Skills are organized in 8 categories for agent discovery via Hermes's progressive disclosure system.
  • The generated skill folders are build artifacts. Do not hand-edit them; update the renderer or blueprints instead, then rebuild and reinstall.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
