PrimeNG_MCP: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

PrimeNG_MCP CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from hnkatze/PrimeNG_MCP. It costs 3,180 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A project guide for an AI coding agent working on a TypeScript server that provides PrimeNG component documentation and Angular code examples.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when building, running, testing, linting, formatting, or understanding the architecture of the PrimeNG documentation server.
Why use it?
It gives the agent the project’s commands, structure, testing process, and code-quality rules so it can work consistently in this repository.

Written for Claude Code: the file is CLAUDE.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code.

This is hnkatze/PrimeNG_MCP's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on PrimeNG_MCP itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything PrimeNG_MCP configures →

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is import { logger } from '../utils/logger.js';.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03180 $0.03180
Opus 5 $0.01590 $0.01590
Sonnet 5 $0.00636 $0.00636
Haiku 4.5 $0.00318 $0.00318

Measured 8d ago against content hash 330a4c0e535b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

PrimeNG_MCP CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview

This is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides access to PrimeNG component documentation and generates Angular code examples. The server exposes tools that can be called by Claude Desktop or other MCP clients to retrieve component information, search components, and generate code snippets.

Version: 2.0.0 (Refactored Architecture)

Development Commands

Build and Run

npm run build # Compile TypeScript to JavaScript in dist/
npm run watch # Compile with watch mode (auto-recompile on changes)
npm run dev # Run directly with tsx (no compilation needed)
npm start # Run compiled version from dist/

Testing

npm test # Run all tests with Vitest
npm run test:unit # Run only unit tests
npm run test:coverage # Run tests with coverage report

Code Quality

npm run lint # Lint TypeScript files
npm run lint:fix # Auto-fix lint issues
npm run format # Format code with Prettier
npm run format:check # Check code formatting

Architecture (v2.0)

Core Structure

The server has been refactored from a 760-line monolith into a modular architecture:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
