flutter-taste-skill: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

flutter-taste-skill CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from hooshyar/flutter-taste-skill. It costs 1,245 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a Flutter design skill and its example app, including rules for creating user interfaces.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when improving the skill files or building and fixing the sample Flutter widgets and screens. They require following the repository's design rules.
Why use it?
They tell contributors where the skill's actual design guidance lives and set required design decisions before writing Flutter widgets.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01245 $0.01245
Opus 5 $0.00622 $0.00622
Sonnet 5 $0.00249 $0.00249
Haiku 4.5 $0.00125 $0.00125

Security

Grade A, and why

flutter-taste-skill CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

What this repo is

A dual-purpose project. It is both:

  1. An "Agent Skill" — a portable design-taste instruction set for AI coding agents. The canonical content lives in SKILL.md (full protocol) and GEMINI.md (Gemini-CLI-specific subset). These are not docs about the code; they are the product. Edits to design philosophy belong here.
  2. A reference Flutter package + showcase applib/ proves the skill's principles with real, lint-clean widgets and four full demo screens.

When asked to "improve the skill" or "change the design rules," edit SKILL.md/GEMINI.md. When asked to build or fix widgets, edit lib/ — and the code must itself obey SKILL.md.

Generating any UI in this repo — follow SKILL.md

This is the load-bearing instruction. Any Flutter UI written here (or anywhere this skill is active) must comply with SKILL.md. Non-negotiables:

  • Design Read first. Before writing widgets, state industry/audience, an aesthetic variant (Obsidian / Cloud / Brutalist / custom), and confirm the three dials.
  • Three Dials parametrize every layout: FLUTTER_LAYOUT_VARIANCE, FLUTTER_MOTION, FLUTTER_DENSITY (1–10 each).
  • Anti-Slop Ban List: no em-dashes (/) anywhere in output; no boilerplate (counters, "Hello World", "Sample Item"); no AI-purple (#7C3AED / generic indigo→purple gradients); never use a default un-styled Scaffold.
  • Color through theme only. Every color comes from Theme.of(context).colorScheme, not hardcoded literals (the showcase screens predate this rule in places — match the rule, not those exceptions).
  • Glass cards carry a 1px inner stroke (Colors.white.withValues(alpha: 0.1)); animations stagger via index * delay.

Architecture

lib/flutter_taste_skill.dart is the package barrel — it exports src/components/* and src/theme/. The showcase app (lib/main.dart) imports src/showcase/* directly, not through the barrel.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
