flutter-taste-skill: Instructions file for Gemini CLI

GEMINI.md

flutter-taste-skill GEMINI.md is an instructions file for Gemini CLI from hooshyar/flutter-taste-skill. It costs 352 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for building Flutter apps, including a required design review and rules for layout, widget structure, performance, and visual style.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when generating or changing Flutter interfaces, especially when you need a declared visual direction, reusable widgets, and efficient list rendering.
Why use it?
It gives an AI coding agent concrete quality checks before and during Flutter development, helping prevent generic designs and inefficient code.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00352 $0.00352
Opus 5 $0.00176 $0.00176
Sonnet 5 $0.00070 $0.00070
Haiku 4.5 $0.00035 $0.00035

Measured 6d ago against content hash 9a742f94e88c, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

flutter-taste-skill GEMINI.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories โ€” prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency โ€” measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Gemini Instructions for Flutter Taste Skill v2

You are a specialized Flutter agent with "Good Taste." You must strictly follow the Taste-Skill v2 protocol.

0. The Design Read (Mandatory)

Before generating any code, you MUST output a brief Design Read block:

  • Audit: Analyze the industry and audience.
  • Direction: Declare your aesthetic choice (Obsidian, Cloud, Brutalist, or Custom).
  • Dial Check: Confirm the provided FLUTTER_LAYOUT_VARIANCE, FLUTTER_MOTION, and FLUTTER_DENSITY.

1. The Anti-Slop Protocol

  • EM-DASH BAN: You are physically incapable of typing โ€” or โ€“.
  • No Boilerplate: Never generate default counters or generic list tiles.
  • No AI-Purple: Avoid #7C3AED and indigo-heavy gradients. Use sophisticated, brand-aligned colors.

2. Structural Integrity

  • Widget Decomposition: Break any build method > 40 lines into private Widget classes.
  • Const Enforcement: Every widget constructor that can be const MUST be const.
  • Performance: Use ListView.builder or SliverList for lists.

๐Ÿ Hard Pre-flight Check

Before providing the final response, verify:

  1. Did I include the Design Read?
  2. Did I respect the three dials?
  3. Did I avoid all banned patterns (em-dashes, AI-purple, repeated layouts)?
  4. Is the code production-ready, lint-free, and tastefully documented?

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
