ultraship: Instructions file for Claude Code

GEMINI.md

ultraship GEMINI.md is an instructions file for Claude Code, Gemini CLI from Houseofmvps/ultraship. It costs 593 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Instructions for using Ultraship, a collection of command-line tools, with Gemini CLI. They map common Claude Code actions to Gemini CLI equivalents and describe how to run tools such as SEO, secret, and code-profile scanners.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them to install Ultraship, activate its skills in Gemini CLI, or run its scanners directly with Node.js or the command line. The listed scanners cover SEO, exposed secrets, and code performance.
Why use it?
They explain how to adapt Ultraship instructions to Gemini CLI, where some Claude Code agent features are not supported. This makes the supported commands and their limits clear.

Instructions file for Claude CodeGemini CLI

Written for Claude Code and Gemini CLI: SessionStart hook event, but also the file is GEMINI.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions subagents; names the TodoWrite tool.

This is Houseofmvps/ultraship's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Gemini CLI how to work on ultraship itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ultraship configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00593 $0.00593
Opus 5 $0.00296 $0.00296
Sonnet 5 $0.00119 $0.00119
Haiku 4.5 $0.00059 $0.00059

Security

Grade A, and why

ultraship GEMINI.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Ultraship — Gemini CLI Integration

Ultraship skills are designed for Claude Code but work in Gemini CLI with tool mapping.

Setup

  1. Install Ultraship: npm install -g ultraship
  2. Copy this file to your project root as GEMINI.md
  3. Skills load via activate_skill in Gemini CLI

Tool Mapping

When Ultraship skills reference Claude Code tools, use these Gemini CLI equivalents:

Skill references Use in Gemini CLI
Read read_file
Write write_file
Edit replace
Bash run_shell_command
Grep grep_search
Glob glob
TodoWrite write_todos
Skill activate_skill
WebSearch google_web_search
WebFetch web_fetch
Agent / Task Not supported — use sequential execution

Running Ultraship Tools

All 20 Ultraship tools work standalone via Node.js:

# Run tools directly
node node_modules/ultraship/tools/seo-scanner.mjs .
node node_modules/ultraship/tools/secret-scanner.mjs .
node node_modules/ultraship/tools/code-profiler.mjs .

# Or use the CLI
npx ultraship ship . # Full scorecard
npx ultraship seo . # SEO audit + AI visibility checks
npx ultraship security . # Secret scanning
npx ultraship init # Scaffold CLAUDE.md / GEMINI.md

Available Skills

Invoke these with activate_skill in Gemini CLI:

Workflow: brainstorming, writing-plans, executing-plans, test-driven-development, systematic-debugging, subagent-driven-development (falls back to sequential), dispatching-parallel-agents (falls back to sequential), code-review, verification-before-completion, finishing-a-development-branch, using-git-worktrees, writing-skills

Specialist: frontend-design, seo-audit, security-audit, perf-audit, deploy, release, revise-claude-md, receiving-code-review, requesting-code-review

Limitations in Gemini CLI

  • No subagent dispatch. Skills that use parallel agents (/ship, dispatching-parallel-agents) run sequentially instead.
  • No MCP servers. Context7 (live docs) and Playwright (browser) MCP servers are Claude Code only. Use google_web_search for docs lookup.
  • No hooks. The SessionStart hook that checks CLAUDE.md freshness doesn't apply. Run npx ultraship init manually.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
