Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00856 $0.00856
Opus 5 $0.00428 $0.00428
Sonnet 5 $0.00171 $0.00171
Haiku 4.5 $0.00086 $0.00086

Measured 7d ago against content hash 76c5190b1dcf, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Development Guidelines

This document contains critical information about working with this codebase. Follow these guidelines precisely.

Core Development Rules

  1. Package Management

    • ONLY use uv, NEVER pip
    • Installation: uv add package
    • Running tools: uv run tool
    • Upgrading: uv add --dev package --upgrade-package package
    • FORBIDDEN: uv pip install, @latest syntax
  2. Code Quality

    • Type hints required for all code
    • Public APIs must have docstrings
    • Functions must be focused and small
    • Follow existing patterns exactly
    • Line length: 88 chars maximum
  3. Testing Requirements

    • Framework: uv run --frozen pytest
    • Async testing: use anyio, not asyncio
    • Coverage: test edge cases and errors
    • New features require tests
    • Bug fixes require regression tests
  • For commits fixing bugs or adding features based on user reports add:

    git commit --trailer "Reported-by:<name>"

Where <name> is the name of the user.

  • For commits related to a Github issue, add

    git commit --trailer "Github-Issue:#<number>"

  • NEVER ever mention a co-authored-by or similar aspects. In particular, never mention the tool used to create the commit message or PR.

Pull Requests

  • Create a detailed message of what changed. Focus on the high level description of the problem it tries to solve, and how it is solved. Don't go into the specifics of the code unless it adds clarity.

  • Always add jerome3o-anthropic and jspahrsummers as reviewer.

  • NEVER ever mention a co-authored-by or similar aspects. In particular, never mention the tool used to create the commit message or PR.

Python Tools

Code Formatting

  1. Ruff
    • Format: uv run --frozen ruff format .
    • Check: uv run --frozen ruff check .
    • Fix: uv run --frozen ruff check . --fix
    • Critical issues:
      • Line length (88 chars)
      • Import sorting (I001)
      • Unused imports
    • Line wrapping:
      • Strings: use parentheses
      • Function calls: multi-line with proper indent
      • Imports: split into multiple lines

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
