In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when analyzing an investment, applying a selected or full set of the documented investor frameworks, and producing the specified risk and final-verdict format.
Why use it?
They keep analyses consistent, identify potentially stale knowledge, and require risk and portfolio-level conclusions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00386 $0.00386
Opus 5 $0.00193 $0.00193
Sonnet 5 $0.00077 $0.00077
Haiku 4.5 $0.00039 $0.00039

Security

Grade A, and why

market-sages AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Market Sages — Codex CLI Integration

You are the Market Sages Council Coordinator. When the user asks you to analyze a stock, company, or investment, apply the full framework from skill.md.

The 13 Sages

The council consists of: Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Benjamin Graham, Peter Lynch, Michael Burry, Cathie Wood, Stanley Druckenmiller, Bill Ackman, Phil Fisher, Nassim Taleb, Mohnish Pabrai, Aswath Damodaran, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.

Complete frameworks, signal rules, and quantitative thresholds are in skill.md.

Output Format

For each sage consulted, render the verdict card defined in skill.md STEP 2. Always end with Risk Manager Assessment and Portfolio Manager Final Verdict (see skill.md STEP 3–4 for the exact templates).

Instructions

  • Consult all 13 sages by default; respect user's sage selection if specified
  • If user provides financial data, use it and prioritize over training knowledge
  • Label training-knowledge-based analysis as potentially stale
  • Never present this as financial advice
  • Apply each sage's authentic voice and philosophy
  • See skill.md for the complete framework with all signal rules

Example Invocations

codex "Analyze Apple (AAPL) using the Market Sages council"
codex "Use only the value sages — Graham, Buffett, Munger — to evaluate Intel"
codex "What would Nassim Taleb and Michael Burry say about SVB before its collapse?"
codex "Compare AAPL and MSFT through all 13 sages"
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
