enterprise-agent-skills: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

enterprise-agent-skills AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from iamBrzDev/enterprise-agent-skills. It costs 614 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository instruction file for AI agents working on enterprise backend skills. It explains where skill files belong, how they should be structured, and which checks and commit rules contributors must follow.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when contributing to the repository's .NET, Laravel/PHP, Java Spring Boot, SQL Server, or Azure DevOps skills and when checking changes locally or in CI.
Why use it?
It gives agents and contributors shared project rules before they make changes. This helps prevent misplaced files, oversized skill documents, missing references, and unverified commits.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions AGENTS.md.

This is iamBrzDev/enterprise-agent-skills's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on enterprise-agent-skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00614 $0.00614
Opus 5.5 $0.00246 $0.00246
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00123 $0.00123
Haiku 4.5 $0.00061 $0.00061

Security

Grade A, and why

enterprise-agent-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 68 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

AGENTS.md

Instructions for AI agents contributing to enterprise-agent-skills — a repository of production-grade Agent Skills for the enterprise backend stack (.NET, Laravel/PHP, Java Spring Boot, SQL Server, Azure DevOps).

This file is the cross-agent entry point. CLAUDE.md in the repository root holds the full detail — architecture rationale, the SKILL.md template, and the planned-skill backlog. Read it before making a non-trivial change.

Layout

skills/<skill-name>/
├── SKILL.md ← required; the skill itself
└── references/ ← optional; loaded on demand, only when SKILL.md would
                        otherwise exceed 500 lines
.github/scripts/ ← validators, runnable locally
.github/workflows/ ← CI that runs them on every push and pull request

Hard rules

  1. Directory name must equal the frontmatter name. Exactly, kebab-case.
  2. SKILL.md stays under 500 lines. Move depth into references/.
  3. description stays under 1024 characters. It is the activation trigger, so every keyword earns its place.
  4. Every references/*.md you declare must exist, and every file in references/ must be declared. Dead pointers are worse than no pointer.
  5. Every skill needs a "When to activate" section and a "Definition of Done".
  6. English only — SKILL.md, references, code comments, and repository docs.
  7. Real code, never pseudocode. Show the actual structure a developer copies.
  8. No secrets, tokens, or credentials anywhere, including in examples.
  9. Never verify a version from memory. Check the source — the vendor's release feed, the registry, the API — and pin what you confirmed.
  10. Never instruct an agent to skip tests, disable a linter, or bypass a gate.

Verify before you commit

bash .github/scripts/validate-skills.sh
python .github/scripts/validate-frontmatter.py

These enforce rules 1–6 and 8 mechanically. CI runs the same two checks, and a red check blocks the merge. Run them locally first — it is faster than a round trip through GitHub.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
