What is Prompt Naming Conventions?

A set of naming rules for Copilot prompt files in the copilot-kit project. Prompt files are reusable Markdown instructions that provide a shortcut for a specific task.

Use it when creating or explicitly renaming a Copilot prompt file, so its filename and frontmatter follow the project’s required conventions.

It keeps new or renamed prompt files consistent and recognizable in the editor’s command palette. Consistent names also make them easier to find and validate.
