AGENTS.md

marketplaces-mcp-ru AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from ilyautov/marketplaces-mcp-ru. It costs 498 tokens per session, scanned C, original, MIT.

A repository instruction file for marketplaces-mcp-ru that tells coding agents how to work safely in that project. It covers checks before commits and pushes, files that must stay private, and dependency rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it as project guidance when editing, committing, or pushing changes in the repository. It specifies commands for security scans, pre-commit checks, and tests.
Why use it?
It helps prevent secrets such as tokens, private keys, and credential files from being committed. It also defines tests and security checks to run before changes are submitted.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00498 $0.00498
Opus 5 $0.00249 $0.00249
Sonnet 5 $0.00100 $0.00100
Haiku 4.5 $0.00050 $0.00050

Security

Grade C, and why

marketplaces-mcp-ru AGENTS.md scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

- `cabinets.json` — the local credential store (`~/.marketplace-mcp/`, chmod 600)

Reads MCP configurationmediumAgent snooping

mcp.json carries server URLs and auth tokens; reading it lets a mod discover and abuse other integrations.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md — repo safety rules

Guardrails for humans and AI agents working in this repo. Adapted from letya999/ai-repo-safety-skill.

Before every commit / push

  • pre-commit run --all-files (or at minimum the two local hooks below).
  • python scripts/security/forbid_sensitive_files.py --all
  • python scripts/security/scan_mcp_config.py
  • Run the offline test suite: python -m pytest tests/ -q.

Never commit (secrets live locally only)

  • .env, .env.* (keep .env.example with placeholders only)
  • cabinets.json — the local credential store (~/.marketplace-mcp/, chmod 600)
  • *.pem, *.key, *.p12, *.pfx, id_rsa, id_ed25519
  • credentials*.json, service-account*.json, token.json, tokens.json, secrets.json
  • *.ovpn, claude_desktop_config.json

.mcp.json IS tracked on purpose — it is the secret-free plugin distribution manifest. Its contents are verified by scan_mcp_config.py; never put a token in it.

Forbidden without explicit user confirmation

  • git push (confirm the diff first)
  • making a repo/issue/PR public with private context
  • printing secrets: cat .env, env, printenv, cat ~/.marketplace-mcp/cabinets.json
  • adding or changing MCP servers
  • weakening the safety gate, auth, or input validation just to make code work
  • installing packages suggested only from model memory (see below)

Dependency policy (trusted packages)

  1. Verify the package exists and is maintained before adding it.
  2. Prefer the standard library or already-present deps (mcp, httpx, pyyaml).
  3. CI runs pip-audit and OSV scanning; do not introduce HIGH-severity advisories.
  4. Never install hallucinated / typo-squat packages.

If a secret is exposed

Stop. Rotate/revoke it in the marketplace cabinet FIRST, then clean Git history. Marketplace keys are scoped and rotatable — rotation is the primary mitigation.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
