Why use it?
They show how to find relevant upstream changes and apply a tracked synchronization, helping keep the two repositories aligned.

Instructions file for CodexOpenCode

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions AGENTS.md.

This is Incept5/eve-skillpacks's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on eve-skillpacks itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything eve-skillpacks configures →

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is cd ../eve-horizon && git log --oneline $(cat ../eve-skillpacks/.sync-state.json | jq -r '.last_synced_commit')..HEAD -- docs/system/ docs/ideas/agent-native-des.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00157 $0.00157
Opus 5.5 $0.00063 $0.00063
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00031 $0.00031
Haiku 4.5 $0.00016 $0.00016

Measured 2mo ago against content hash 7d43d0036be4, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

eve-skillpacks AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Eve Skillpacks - Agent Instructions

Read CLAUDE.md for project context and conventions.

Syncing with Eve Horizon

To update skillpacks from the latest eve-horizon changes, run:

/sync-horizon

This reads the eve-horizon git log since the last tracked sync, identifies changes that affect skillpacks, updates reference docs and skills, and records the new sync point.

Manual Sync Check

To see what's changed without updating:

cd ../eve-horizon && git log --oneline $(cat ../eve-skillpacks/.sync-state.json | jq -r '.last_synced_commit')..HEAD -- docs/system/ docs/ideas/agent-native-design.md packages/cli/src/commands/ AGENTS.md
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
