Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00352 $0.00352
Opus 5 $0.00176 $0.00176
Sonnet 5 $0.00070 $0.00070
Haiku 4.5 $0.00035 $0.00035

Security

Grade A, and why

codex-oss-maintainer-toolkit AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md

Mission

This repository is a Codex-first toolkit for open-source maintainers. Keep the repo aligned with Codex terminology, AGENTS.md conventions, reusable skills, and maintainer automation workflows.

Repository Map

  • SKILL.md: the primary Codex skill for maintainer workflow design.
  • scripts/: authoring helpers for creating, validating, and packaging skills.
  • references/: reusable patterns for outputs and multi-step workflows.
  • templates/: bootstrap material for Codex projects (AGENTS.md, automation scripts, agent prompts, dev docs, skill catalog).
  • examples/full-project/: example repository layout after bootstrapping.
  • demo/: marketing/demo pages that should stay consistent with the public positioning.

Editing Rules

  1. Read before editing and keep changes minimal.
  2. If you change public positioning, update README.md, README_EN.md, SKILL.md, install.sh, and demo/ in the same turn.
  3. If you change anything in templates/, sync the same structure in examples/full-project/.
  4. Prefer Codex/OpenAI terminology. Remove stale vendor-specific references unless they are historical context that is explicitly needed.
  5. Validate with targeted commands before finishing. At minimum, run the repository search guard and the relevant Python/shell checks.

Default Maintainer Workflow

  1. Audit the repository and identify maintainer bottlenecks.
  2. Write or refine AGENTS.md close to the work.
  3. Move repetitive maintainer tasks into skills, references, or automation scripts.
  4. Add verification commands so contributors can prove changes worked.
  5. Keep templates, examples, and docs coherent.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
