all-in-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

all-in-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from isomoes/all-in-mcp. It costs 1,457 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A contributor guide for All-in-MCP, a proxy server that connects tools for academic-paper search, web search, and PDF processing. It explains the FastMCP-based architecture and its main modules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when working on the APaper academic-search module, Qwen web search, the proxy server, or the shared paper data structures.
Why use it?
It helps contributors understand how the proxy forwards requests and where each search or paper-processing feature belongs. It also provides a map of the reorganized codebase.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01457 $0.01457
Opus 5 $0.00728 $0.00728
Sonnet 5 $0.00291 $0.00291
Haiku 4.5 $0.00146 $0.00146

Measured 9d ago against content hash 6068cc397781, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

all-in-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview

All-in-MCP is a FastMCP-based Model Context Protocol (MCP) proxy server that provides academic paper search, web search, and PDF processing utilities. The project has been restructured into three main components:

  1. APaper: An isolated academic research module with tools for searching papers from multiple academic platforms
  2. Qwen Search: A web search module using the Qwen/Dashscope API
  3. All-in-MCP Proxy: A FastMCP proxy server that forwards requests to APaper, Qwen Search, and other MCP servers

The system uses the FastMCP framework for simplified MCP server development with automatic tool registration, enhanced features, and better performance.

FastMCP Server Implementation

  • APaper Server: src/apaper/server.py - Dedicated academic research server using FastMCP decorators
  • Qwen Search Server: src/qwen_search/server.py - Proxy server that uses MCP SDK to connect to Dashscope SSE-based MCP server
  • Proxy Server: src/all_in_mcp/server.py - Main proxy server that connects to APaper (stdio), Qwen Search (SSE), and other MCP servers
  • Tool Registration: Uses FastMCP @app.tool() decorators for automatic tool registration
  • Data Model: src/apaper/models/paper.py - Standardized Paper dataclass

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
