Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.00565 | $0.00565 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00282 | $0.00282 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00113 | $0.00113 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00056 | $0.00056 |
Grade A, and why
croncron AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.
croncron add "every 10 minutes" "curl -s https://example.com/ping" --json How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 42 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
croncron — agent guide
You (an AI agent) can manage this machine's cron jobs with croncron. Two interfaces:
1. MCP (preferred when available)
Server: croncron mcp (stdio). Tools: cron_add, cron_list, cron_edit, cron_remove,
cron_pause, cron_run_now, cron_logs, cron_catchup.
Register in Claude Code: claude mcp add --scope user croncron -- croncron mcp
2. CLI with --json (any shell-capable agent)
Every read/write command accepts --json and prints machine-readable JSON:
croncron add "every 10 minutes" "curl -s https://example.com/ping" --json
croncron add "daily at 3am" ./backup.sh --retry 2 --ping https://hc-ping.com/UUID --json
croncron list --json # nextRun, lastRun {code,ms}, missedLastScheduledRun per job
croncron run <name> --json # {exitCode, ms, output}
croncron runs <name> --json # run history
croncron edit <name> --schedule "weekdays at 9am" --json
croncron rm <name> --json
Errors go to stderr as {"ok":false,"error":"..."} with exit code 1.
Things agents should know
- Schedules: plain English ("every 5 minutes", "weekdays at 9:30", "monthly on the 1st at 9am") or raw 5-field cron. Both validated; bad input fails loudly with examples.
- Output is captured automatically — never append
>> file 2>&1to commands. - cwd/PATH/shell are snapshotted at add time — add jobs from the project directory they
should run in, or pass
--cwd. - Verify your work: after
add, runcroncron run <name> --jsononce and checkexitCode: 0. - Failures alert the user (macOS notification / Telegram) once per state change. Use
--no-notifyfor noisy experimental jobs. - Reliability built in:
--retry Nre-attempts failures; overlapping runs are skipped; the watchdog re-runs jobs missed while the laptop slept (croncron watchdog status). - Never edit the crontab directly — croncron owns a marked block; everything else in the
user's crontab is preserved and backed up to
~/.croncron/backups/.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

croncron AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository itsnotrwanman/croncron (0 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 565 tokens to every session, about $0.0028 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
