CLAUDE.md

dolibarr-mcp-server CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from ivanmartin33/dolibarr-mcp-server. It costs 1,553 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A project instruction file for Claude Code, describing a Dolibarr MCP server. Dolibarr is business-management software, and an MCP server lets AI tools access its functions through a standard interface.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing, building, type-checking, or running this TypeScript server with pnpm. It also documents how to run the server for n8n, a workflow automation tool.
Why use it?
It gives the coding agent the project’s commands, architecture, routes, and environment settings so it can work with the repository’s conventions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01553 $0.01553
Opus 5 $0.00776 $0.00776
Sonnet 5 $0.00311 $0.00311
Haiku 4.5 $0.00155 $0.00155

Security

Grade A, and why

dolibarr-mcp-server CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview

This is a compliant Dolibarr MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server built with Nitro. It implements the JSON-RPC 2.0 based MCP specification to provide structured access to Dolibarr ERP/CRM API endpoints for AI-assisted development.

Development Commands

  • pnpm run dev - Start development server on http://localhost:3000
  • pnpm run build - Build for production
  • pnpm run start - Start production server
  • pnpm run typecheck - Check TypeScript types

For n8n Docker integration, start the server with host binding:

NITRO_HOST=0.0.0.0 NITRO_PORT=3000 pnpm run dev

Architecture

  • Framework: Nitro (TypeScript-based)
  • Protocol: JSON-RPC 2.0 (MCP compliant)
  • Source Directory: server/ (configured in nitro.config.ts)
  • Package Manager: Uses pnpm for package management and execution
  • Main Routes:
    • / - Default homepage route
    • /mcp - Main MCP JSON-RPC endpoint (supports initialize, tools/list, tools/call)
    • /mcp/describe - HTTP GET endpoint for server information
    • /mcp/tools/call - Direct tool execution endpoint
    • /mcp/proxy/[...path] - Legacy HTTP proxy route (deprecated)

Environment Configuration

The server requires these environment variables (configured in nitro.config.ts runtime config):

For Docker/n8n integration:

  • NITRO_HOST - Server host binding (use "0.0.0.0" for Docker access)
  • NITRO_PORT - Server port (default: 3000)

MCP Protocol Implementation

The server implements the following MCP methods via JSON-RPC 2.0:

Initialization

{"jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "initialize", "params": {}, "id": 1}

Tools Listing

{"jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "tools/list", "params": {}, "id": 2}

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
