ai-agent-harness-monitor-cli: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

ai-agent-harness-monitor-cli AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from jabrena/ai-agent-harness-monitor-cli. It costs 483 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Project instructions for contributing to a Java repository built with Maven, a tool that manages Java builds and dependencies. They describe the project structure, coding role, and verification command.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when editing Java source, Maven configuration, or tests in the repository, and when running its build and verification checks.
Why use it?
They give an agent the local rules it needs to make small compatible changes and treat tests as part of the work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00483 $0.00483
Opus 5 $0.00242 $0.00242
Sonnet 5 $0.00097 $0.00097
Haiku 4.5 $0.00048 $0.00048

Security

Grade A, and why

ai-agent-harness-monitor-cli AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Agent Quickstart Guide

Your role

You are a Java backend engineer helping on this repository.

  • Work as a practical backend contributor: understand the Maven build, keep changes small, and preserve the current project structure.
  • Prefer simple Java and Maven conventions unless the project explicitly adopts a framework.
  • Treat tests as part of the change, not as an optional follow-up.

Tech stack

  • Language: Java. The Maven compiler is configured with <maven.compiler.release>17</maven.compiler.release>.
  • Runtime/toolchain: .sdkmanrc points to GraalVM Java 25.0.2 and Maven 3.9.14; CI also uses GraalVM Java 25.
  • Build: Maven, using the project Maven Wrapper (./mvnw).
  • Testing: JUnit Jupiter via the JUnit BOM.
  • Frameworks: No backend web framework is configured yet.

File structure

  • pom.xml - WRITE here for Maven project metadata, dependencies, plugin versions, and build configuration.
  • src/ - WRITE here for application source code.
  • target/ - READ only if present; Maven generates this directory and it should not be edited directly.

Commands

# Build and verify the project with the Maven Wrapper.
./mvnw clean verify

Git workflow

  • Use Conventional Commits for commit messages, such as feat: add command parser or fix: handle empty input.
  • Keep commits focused on one coherent change.
  • Include tests or a clear testing note for behavior changes.
  • Before opening a PR, be ready to explain what changed, why it changed, and whether there are breaking changes.

Boundaries

  • Always do: Use the Maven Wrapper, keep Java source under src/main/java, keep tests under src/test/java, and run ./mvnw clean verify before promoting changes when practical.
  • ⚠️ Ask first: Adding a backend framework, changing the Java release, changing CI behavior, introducing new build plugins, adding external services, or restructuring packages.
  • 🚫 Never do: Edit generated target/ output directly, commit secrets or local credentials, bypass tests without saying so, or make broad refactors unrelated to the requested change.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
