jackin-dev AGENTS.md

A set of project-specific instructions and manually invoked workflow skills for the jackin-dev project. It guides coding agents through development, pull requests, goals, and releases.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when proposing, creating, checking out, refreshing, merging, or releasing pull requests, or when preparing release notes and goal prompts.
Why use it?
It keeps agents aligned with the project's requirements, commit-message rules, and workflow while avoiding unwanted automatic actions or duplicate skill installations.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00206 $0.00206
Opus 5 $0.00103 $0.00103
Sonnet 5 $0.00041 $0.00041
Haiku 4.5 $0.00021 $0.00021

Measured today against content hash ffbdc19f1188, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

jackin-dev AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Rules

  • No legacy code. Finish every migration: remove old paths completely—no compatibility shims, aliases, or deprecation periods. Breaking changes are preferred.
  • This is a research project. It is unsafe and expected to contain breaking changes; never treat it as production-ready. Break things when needed and deliver new implementations fast.
  • Always apply these principles:
    • Judge work by correctness, consistency, and project fit. Never defer a known-wrong state because of ROI, cost, effort, or claims that it is low-value, marginal, or an edge case.
    • Stop only when the required change is proven impossible with the available tools or model. When uncertain, inspect, test, and measure first.
    • Before fixing a bug, identify why the architecture permitted it and whether the same structure permits related bugs.
    • Prefer fixes that remove the enabling condition. Use a symptom-layer patch only when the root fix is proven infeasible or belongs in a separate change, and name the deferred root cause.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
