CLAUDE.md

jobclaw-skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from jain777/jobclaw-skills. It costs 680 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for Jobclaw, a collection of 19 coding-agent skills for an end-to-end job search. It stores shared candidate information in Markdown files and small JSON files rather than a database.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them to support job-search tasks such as managing a candidate profile, researching companies and regions, checking work authorization, and filtering AI-related roles.
Why use it?
They help the different job-search tasks use the same profile, regional work-authorization rules, company data, and role filters.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00680 $0.00680
Opus 5 $0.00340 $0.00340
Sonnet 5 $0.00136 $0.00136
Haiku 4.5 $0.00068 $0.00068

Security

Grade A, and why

jobclaw-skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

CLAUDE.md — jobclaw-skills

Contributor onboarding for this repo. (Users don't need this — they just install the plugin and run the skills; see README.md.)

Other runtimes? These skills are portable to Codex, Cursor, Hermes, and OpenClaw. The runtime-neutral entry point is AGENTS.md; per-runtime setup is in docs/RUNTIMES.md.

What this is

A collection of 19 Claude Code skills for an end-to-end job hunt, plus shared knowledge packs. Claude is the engine — most skills are pure reasoning; a handful have thin Python (stdlib) data-fetch scripts. Skills compose through a shared master profile (profile/master-profile.md) and small JSON sidecars, not a database.

Layout

skills/<verb-noun>/SKILL.md # one skill each (+ optional reference/, scripts/)
skills/_shared/RULES.md # the hard rules every skill obeys
knowledge/regions/<code>.md # per-region sources, sponsorship, conventions
knowledge/work-authorization.md # canonical work-auth enum + cross-region rule
knowledge/companies/{companies.csv,resolved.json,SOURCES.md} # catalog + cached ATS resolver
knowledge/ai-roles.md # AI title filter + archetypes
knowledge/status/taxonomy.md # email-class × application-status decision table
docs/JOB_SEARCH.md # find-jobs strategy + source tiers + caveats
tests/ # smoke.py runner + fixtures (emails, offers, jobpostings)
profile/master-profile.example.md # sample profile (the real one is gitignored)

Conventions

  • Skills: kebab-case, verb-led; frontmatter = name, description (+ when_to_use), user-invocable, allowed-tools; heavy skills use context: fork.
  • Scripts: Python 3 stdlib only, print JSON to stdout, read keys from env, degrade gracefully (print [] + stderr note, never crash). Exception: render-resume uses rendercv in its own .venv.
  • Brand/voice: address the user as "you"; verb-led, sentence case; no emoji.
  • Never fabricate; never raw-scrape LinkedIn; no PII committed (real profiles/resumes/scores/jobs are gitignored). Full rules: CONTRIBUTING.md + skills/_shared/RULES.md.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
