AGENTS.md

can-fed-camp-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from JCrossman/can-fed-camp-mcp. It costs 358 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for Open State: Camping, a local tool that helps people find and prepare accessible Parks Canada campsite bookings. MCP is a standard way for an AI agent to use an external tool.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when developing or reviewing this campsite tool, especially its booking safeguards, sign-in handling, accessibility support, and plain-language responses.
Why use it?
They keep code changes and agent actions within the project's rules, such as requiring the person to review and pay for a booking themselves.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00358 $0.00358
Opus 5 $0.00179 $0.00179
Sonnet 5 $0.00072 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00036 $0.00036

Measured 8d ago against content hash 47466cbaaee6, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

can-fed-camp-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md

This repository is Open State: Camping — a local MCP that helps a citizen find and book Parks Canada campsites accessibly. It is an implementation of the Civic Access Protocol and conforms to The Open State Constitution (https://github.com/JCrossman/the-open-state/blob/main/CONSTITUTION.md, tag constitution-v1.1), using @open-state/[email protected]. These rules are binding — if a change conflicts with one, say so and stop, and cite the article.

  • The human decides (Art. 2). prepare_booking only prepares to the payment screen; the citizen reviews and pays. Never auto-book, never pay. Use the kit's confirmGated gate.
  • No stored government credentials (Art. 1). The citizen signs in themselves; the session lives only in the kit vault, on-device. Never expose it to the model.
  • Accessibility is the purpose (Art. 3). Accessibility attributes first-class and filterable; screen-reader-clean, plain-language output; carried through to the action.
  • Honesty (Art. 7). Distinguish verified from assumed; fail visibly; polite request rates; the browser-like User-Agent is a documented, honest tension.
  • Assistive technology, not a bot (Art. 10). Acts only in the citizen's own session, at their direction; never defeats human gates.

See CONFORMANCE at https://github.com/JCrossman/the-open-state/blob/main/CONFORMANCE.md. No citizen should be excluded from what is already theirs.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
