Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00872 | $0.00872 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00436 | $0.00436 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00174 | $0.00174 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00087 | $0.00087 |
Grade A, and why
fathom-ai-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 63 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Build & Development Commands
npm run build # Compile TypeScript to build/src/
npm run validate # Type-check + lint + format check (runs all three)
npm run type-check # TypeScript type checking only
npm run lint # ESLint
npm run lint:fix # ESLint with auto-fix
npm run format # Prettier auto-format
npm run format:check # Prettier check only
npm run mcpb:build # Build + pack .mcpb bundle for Claude Desktop
Pre-commit hook runs type-check, lint, and format:check automatically.
Architecture
Three-layer MCP server over stdio:
src/index.ts Entry point (shebang, error handling)
src/server.ts MCP server: 5 tools, caching, pagination, formatting
src/fathom-client.ts HTTP client wrapping Fathom API with retry logic
server.ts is the core file. It exports createServer() which registers all 5 tools via server.registerTool() (not the deprecated server.tool() API). Each tool handler follows the same pattern:
- Get the singleton
FathomClient(lazy-initialized fromFATHOM_API_KEYenv var) - Compute a cache key from tool name + sorted filter params
- On cache miss or TTL expiry (5 min): fetch all pages from the API via
fetchAll(), cache the result. API errors are caught and returned as user-friendly text responses (not thrown). - Slice the cached array by page/page_size via
getPage() - Format items into LLM-friendly plaintext and return with pagination footer. All field accesses in formatters use nullish coalescing fallbacks to avoid rendering
undefinedliterals.
fathom-client.ts uses native fetch() (no HTTP library). Key details:
- Base URL:
https://api.fathom.ai/external/v1-- paths are concatenated (BASE_URL + path), not joined vianew URL(path, base)which would drop the path prefix - Array params use
[]suffix keys:calendar_invitees_domains[],recorded_by[],teams[] - Retry: 3 attempts with linear backoff (1s, 2s) for 502/503/429
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

fathom-ai-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository jerichosequitin/fathom-ai-mcp (0 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 872 tokens to every session, about $0.0044 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
