Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |

Grade E, and why
clare scripts.instructions.md scanned grade E with 3 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Script Authoring Rules (CLARE — Constrained)
All scripts in scripts/ follow these rules. Violations cause verify-ci.sh to fail.
Required
- Shebang:
#!/usr/bin/env bash(not/bin/bash) - Safety flags:
set -euo pipefailat the top of every script - Self-documenting header: Block comment describing purpose, usage, and options
- Executable: Scripts must be
chmod +x
Quoting and Variables
- Always quote variables:
"$var"not$var - Use
[[ ]]for conditionals, not[ ] - Use
$()for command substitution, not backticks - Use
readonlyorlocalto scope variables appropriately
Error Handling
- Check return codes explicitly when
set -ewould mask the intent - Use
|| trueonly when failure is genuinely acceptable and comment why - Provide human-readable error messages before exiting
Output
- Use color codes for status (see verify-ci.sh helper pattern)
- Use
>&2to write errors to stderr - Keep stdout machine-parseable when scripts are used in pipelines
Portability
- Target bash 4.0+ (available on all modern Linux/macOS with Homebrew)
- Do not assume GNU-specific flags for
sed,awk,datewithout checking - Use
command -v toolto test for tool availability before use
Prohibited
rm -rfwithout explicit user confirmation or--forceflag- Hardcoded credentials or tokens
curl | bashpatterns- Suppressing errors with
2>/dev/nullunless explicitly justified in a comment
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

clare scripts.instructions.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository jketreno/clare (5 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 385 tokens to every session, about $0.0019 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it E with 3 findings (downloads and executes remote code, recursive force delete, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
