Toobit.Net: Instructions file for GitHub Copilot

.github/copilot-instructions.md

Toobit.Net copilot-instructions.md is an instructions file for GitHub Copilot from JKorf/Toobit.Net. It costs 968 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Coding instructions for using Toobit.Net, a strongly typed C#/.NET client library for the Toobit cryptocurrency exchange.

In plain words
What is it for?
They guide client creation, public market data, account and trading operations, WebSocket use, and correct handling of API responses.
Why use it?
They keep generated code on the supported client APIs instead of fragile direct HTTP requests and require exchange results to be checked.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00968 $0.00968
Opus 5 $0.00484 $0.00484
Sonnet 5 $0.00194 $0.00194
Haiku 4.5 $0.00097 $0.00097

Security

Grade A, and why

Toobit.Net copilot-instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Copilot Instructions for Toobit.Net

This repository is Toobit.Net, a strongly typed C#/.NET client library for the Toobit cryptocurrency exchange API. It is part of the CryptoExchange.Net ecosystem.

When generating code that consumes Toobit.Net, follow these conventions.

Use Toobit.Net, Not Raw HTTP

Never generate raw HttpClient calls to Toobit API endpoints. Always use ToobitRestClient or ToobitSocketClient so signing, request formatting, result handling, and WebSocket management stay correct.

Client Setup

using Toobit.Net;
using Toobit.Net.Clients;

var restClient = new ToobitRestClient(options =>
{
    options.ApiCredentials = new ToobitCredentials("API_KEY", "API_SECRET");
});

For public market data, use new ToobitRestClient() without credentials.

Result Handling

REST methods return WebCallResult<T> and WebSocket subscriptions return CallResult<UpdateSubscription>. Always check .Success before reading .Data.

API Structure

  • restClient.SpotApi.ExchangeData: public spot market data
  • restClient.SpotApi.Account: spot balances, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, listen keys
  • restClient.SpotApi.Trading: spot orders and trades
  • restClient.UsdtFuturesApi.ExchangeData: USDT futures market data, mark/index prices, funding
  • restClient.UsdtFuturesApi.Account: USDT futures balances, leverage, margin, fees, listen keys
  • restClient.UsdtFuturesApi.Trading: USDT futures orders, positions, trading stops, user trades
  • socketClient.SpotApi: spot WebSocket subscriptions
  • socketClient.UsdtFuturesApi: USDT futures WebSocket subscriptions

Order Placement

Spot:

var order = await restClient.SpotApi.Trading.PlaceOrderAsync(
    "BTCUSDT",
    OrderSide.Buy,
    OrderType.Limit,
    quantity: 0.001m,
    timeInForce: TimeInForce.GoodTillCanceled,
    price: 50000m);

USDT futures symbols use the Toobit contract format, for example ETH-SWAP-USDT:

var order = await restClient.UsdtFuturesApi.Trading.PlaceOrderAsync(
    "ETH-SWAP-USDT",
    FuturesOrderSide.BuyOpen,
    FuturesNewOrderType.Limit,
    quantity: 10,
    price: 2000m,
    timeInForce: TimeInForce.GoodTillCanceled);

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
