domain-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

domain-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from joachimBrindeau/domain-mcp. It costs 371 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for a pnpm workspace monorepo containing a Dynadot domain-management MCP server and a related agent workflow package. A monorepo keeps multiple packages in one repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when modifying either package, installing dependencies, running repository checks, or publishing changes.
Why use it?
They identify where each kind of change belongs and list the commands needed to build, test, type-check, format, and validate the packages.

This is joachimBrindeau/domain-mcp's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on domain-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything domain-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00371 $0.00371
Opus 5 $0.00186 $0.00186
Sonnet 5 $0.00074 $0.00074
Haiku 4.5 $0.00037 $0.00037

Security

Grade A, and why

domain-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

CLAUDE.md

This is a pnpm workspace monorepo. Two packages live under packages/:

  • packages/domain-mcp/ — the domain-mcp npm package: a stdio MCP server wrapping the Dynadot registrar API. See packages/domain-mcp/CLAUDE.md for architecture, commands, and conventions.
  • packages/domain-agent-kit/ — the portable Agent Plugins v1 workflow package built on domain-mcp. Canonical behavior lives in skills/domain-management/; the Claude manifest, MCP declaration, and destructive-operation hook are thin compatibility adapters.

When editing code

  • Changes to the MCP server: work inside packages/domain-mcp/. Use pnpm --filter domain-mcp run <script> or cd packages/domain-mcp && pnpm <script>.
  • Changes to the plugin: work inside packages/domain-agent-kit/. Run pnpm --filter domain-agent-kit test and hermes plugins doctor packages/domain-agent-kit --ci after changes.

Root commands

pnpm install # install all workspace deps
pnpm build # build domain-mcp
pnpm test # test domain-mcp
pnpm typecheck # tsc --noEmit domain-mcp
pnpm check # biome across repo
pnpm check:fix # biome --write across repo

Publishing

Only packages/domain-mcp/ publishes to npm. Tag pushes on main trigger the publish job in .github/workflows/ci.yml. The plugin publishes via the Claude Code marketplace (manifest at .claude-plugin/marketplace.json).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
