reclaim-mcp-server: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

reclaim-mcp-server AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from johnjhughes/reclaim-mcp-server. It costs 423 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository guidance for a TypeScript MCP server that connects coding agents to Reclaim.ai task operations. It describes the project layout, required tools, coding conventions, and checks to run before publishing changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing this server, its tools, resources, tests, build, or continuous-integration workflow.
Why use it?
It helps changes follow the repository's existing structure and keeps protocol output separate from diagnostic messages. It also prevents editing generated files or skipping the listed checks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00423 $0.00423
Opus 5.5 $0.00169 $0.00169
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00085 $0.00085
Haiku 4.5 $0.00042 $0.00042

Security

Grade A, and why

reclaim-mcp-server AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 25d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Repository guidance

This repository provides an unofficial TypeScript MCP server for Reclaim.ai task operations over stdio. Read README.md, package.json, and .github/workflows/ci.yml before changing its development workflow.

  • src/index.ts wires the server; src/reclaim-client.ts owns HTTP access; src/tools/ defines task tools; src/resources/tasks.ts exposes task resources; src/types/reclaim.ts contains API types.
  • Reuse src/utils.ts and src/logger.ts for their existing responsibilities. Keep stdout reserved for the MCP protocol; use logger.warn or logger.error for diagnostics because they write to stderr. Do not use logger.info for diagnostics: it writes to stdout.
  • Use the pnpm version pinned in package.json and install with pnpm install --frozen-lockfile. Node.js 18 or newer is required; CI currently checks Node.js 18 and 20.
  • Keep the existing Biome stack. Before publishing changes, run pnpm lint:ci, pnpm typecheck, pnpm build, pnpm test, and pnpm test:coverage, matching CI. pnpm build regenerates dist/; edit src/, not generated files.
  • pnpm test runs deterministic unit tests in tests/unit/. pnpm test:integration:live is a separate opt-in lane that uses RECLAIM_API_KEY and can mutate real tasks. Do not run it without explicit authorization for the account and operations.
  • Preserve task-status semantics: COMPLETE tasks remain active; ARCHIVED tasks are finished. Test changed task behavior with synthetic fixtures and the existing test utilities.
  • Never commit API keys, environment secrets, real task contents, or raw provider responses. Keep credentials outside repository files and routine logs.
  • Keep agent instructions in root AGENTS.md, or use a root symlink to .agents/AGENTS.md if the guidance is moved there.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
