domain-agents: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

domain-agents CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from jonnonz1/domain-agents. It costs 935 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for a command-line tool that finds business areas in TypeScript and Node.js codebases. It uses the code's folders, imports, names, and dependencies to generate guidance files for each area.

In plain words
What is it for?
It documents the project layout, core commands, architecture, and key decisions for working on or extending the domain-discovery tool.
Why use it?
It gives developers a shared explanation of the project's architecture and design decisions. It also helps the tool produce a map of how the code is divided into domains, such as billing or email.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00935 $0.00935
Opus 5 $0.00467 $0.00467
Sonnet 5 $0.00187 $0.00187
Haiku 4.5 $0.00093 $0.00093

Security

Grade A, and why

domain-agents CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview

domain-agents is a CLI tool that discovers business domains in TypeScript/Node codebases and generates AI agent files for evolutionary architecture. It uses static analysis (TypeScript compiler API, import graph clustering, naming patterns, dependency mapping) to identify domains, then generates per-domain agent markdown and a system map (AGENTS.md).

Architecture

src/
types.ts Core type definitions for the entire system
  discovery/
structure.ts Pass 1: directory analysis, detects feature/layer/mixed patterns
imports.ts Pass 2: TypeScript compiler API, builds import graph with export/import resolution
naming.ts Pass 3: clusters files by prefix/suffix/directory/keyword patterns
dependencies.ts Pass 4: maps npm packages to domains (stripe→billing, sendgrid→email, etc.)
interfaces.ts Pass 5: detects cross-domain interface points, calculates coupling scores
index.ts Orchestrator: combines all 5 signals, merges leaf clusters, handles hotspots
  generator/
agent-file.ts Generates per-domain markdown (purpose, interfaces, scaling, tech debt, observability)
agents-md.ts Generates AGENTS.md system map with dependency graph and cross-domain contracts
  hooks/
lookup.ts File-to-domain lookup from proposal.json (powers all integrations)
cursor.ts Generates .cursor/rules/*.mdc files with glob-based activation for Cursor
claude.ts Generates .claude/rules/domain-*.md files with glob activation + MCP server + SessionStart hook
  mcp/
    server.ts MCP server: exposes domain_lookup, list_domains, domain_context, domain_files tools
  generator/
enrich.ts LLM enrichment: reads domain code, calls Claude to generate contextual agent files
  cli/
index.ts CLI entry point (commander): discover, init, setup, health, hooks commands
discover.ts Runs discovery engine, saves proposal.json
init.ts Reads proposal, generates agents/*.md + AGENTS.md (with optional --enrich)
setup.ts Saves Anthropic API key to ~/.config/domain-agents/config.json
health.ts Checks boundaries, coupling, staleness against current codebase state

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
