retry-axios: Instructions file for Gemini CLI

GEMINI.md

retry-axios GEMINI.md is an instructions file for Gemini CLI from JustinBeckwith/retry-axios. It costs 680 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Project instructions for retry-axios, a TypeScript library that retries failed Axios web requests. They describe the project, its dependencies, and commands for building, testing, and linting it.

In plain words
What is it for?
Compiling the library, checking its code, fixing lint errors, and running its development workflow.
Why use it?
They give a coding agent the project context needed to use the right commands and understand how the library is organized.

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00680 $0.00680
Opus 5 $0.00340 $0.00340
Sonnet 5 $0.00136 $0.00136
Haiku 4.5 $0.00068 $0.00068

Security

Grade A, and why

retry-axios GEMINI.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project: retry-axios

Project Overview

retry-axios is a TypeScript library that provides automatic retries for axios requests. It uses Axios interceptors to catch failed requests and retry them with configurable backoff strategies. The library is highly flexible, allowing users to customize retry conditions, backoff types (exponential, static, linear), and jitter to prevent the "thundering herd" problem. It is designed to be used with any version of axios as a peer dependency.

The project is written in TypeScript and is distributed as both an ES Module and a CommonJS module.

Building and Running

Dependencies

The project's dependencies are managed with npm. Key dependencies include:

  • Peer Dependency: axios
  • Dev Dependencies: typescript, vitest, esbuild, @biomejs/biome

Commands

The following npm scripts are available for building, testing, and linting the project:

  • Linting:

    • npm run lint: Check the code for linting errors using Biome.
    • npm run fix: Automatically fix linting errors using Biome.
  • Building:

    • npm run compile: Compiles the TypeScript source code into both ESM and CJS formats.
      • npm run compile:esm: Compiles to ES Module format using tsc.
      • npm run compile:cjs: Bundles the ESM output into a CommonJS module using esbuild.
  • Testing:

    • npm test: Run the test suite using vitest and generate a coverage report. This command also runs the compile script beforehand.
    • npm test:watch: Run the tests in watch mode.

Continuous Integration

The project uses GitHub Actions for continuous integration. The CI pipeline (.github/workflows/ci.yaml) runs the following checks on every push and pull request:

  • Linkinator: Checks for broken links in the repository.
  • Testing: Runs the test suite (npm test) on multiple versions of Node.js (20, 22, 24).
  • Linting: Runs the linter (npm run lint).
  • License Check: Checks for license compliance (npm run license-check).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
