spec tool and one assigned SPEC.md; commands live in RUNBOOK.md.

Dogfood boundary:
templates/stays generic, copy-ready, and[BRACKETED].- Root controls stay filled, current, and free of template placeholders.
- Harness design changes normally update both; explain any exemption.
- A spec path is stable. Never move it between active/done/archive folders.
Work Selection And Lifecycle
Unless the user names work directly:
- Verify root, branch, remote, upstream, and dirty state.
- Run
node tools/spec-workbench.mjs doctor; stop on ambiguous state. - Run
node tools/spec-workbench.mjs next --json. - Load only the returned spec with
show S-###; inspect referenced source/tests. - Claim it before editing:
claim S-### --agent NAME. - Implement one eligible tracer-bullet ticket using red/green TDD.
- Close the ticket with named proof, docs status, and remaining gap.
- Complete the spec only after every acceptance and owner gate is satisfied; render and doctor must remove it from the hot Taskboard immediately.
