Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01068 | $0.01068 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00534 | $0.00534 |

Grade A, and why
Niki-AI CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Project Overview
Niki AI is an Obsidian plugin that integrates Claude Code CLI as a conversational AI assistant in the Obsidian sidebar. Users can chat with Claude, include current note content as context, and insert responses directly into their notes.
Architecture: Single-file TypeScript plugin (main.ts) that follows Obsidian's plugin lifecycle pattern. The plugin executes Claude Code CLI locally via Node.js child processes.
Development Commands
npm install # Install dependencies
npm run dev # Watch mode with incremental builds
npm run build # Production build (one-time)
Build output: main.js (bundled CommonJS)
Installation to Obsidian: After building, copy these files to .obsidian/plugins/niki-ai/ in your vault:
main.jsmanifest.jsonstyles.css
Then enable the plugin in Obsidian's settings.

Core Classes
ClaudeSidebarPlugin (main.ts:40)
- Main plugin class extending
Plugin - Manages plugin lifecycle:
onload(),onunload() - Registers sidebar view, ribbon icon, and command palette entry
- Handles settings persistence via
loadData()/saveData()
ClaudeSidebarView (main.ts:90)
- Extends
ItemView, renders the sidebar UI - Manages chat state (
messages: ChatMessage[]) - Handles user input and executes Claude CLI
- Renders messages using Obsidian's
MarkdownRenderer.render()
ClaudeSidebarSettingTab (main.ts:400+)
- Settings UI configuration
- Three settings:
claudeCommand,defaultPrompt,workingDir
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
