senior-engineer-skills: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

senior-engineer-skills AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from Kin9Zeus/senior-engineer-skills. It costs 1,672 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a collection of skills, commands and helper agents that change how an AI coding assistant works. The repository contains guidance and reusable text, not a running application.

In plain words
What is it for?
Working on the repository, understanding its structure, and authoring or reviewing skills, commands and agent definitions.
Why use it?
They give contributors clear rules for editing and maintaining the assistant's instructions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01672 $0.01672
Opus 5.5 $0.00669 $0.00669
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00334 $0.00334
Haiku 4.5 $0.00167 $0.00167

Security

Grade A, and why

senior-engineer-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Makes network callslowCapability

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

- No dependencies beyond `curl`, `grep`, `git` and the shell.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 150 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Working on this repository

Conventions for anyone — human or AI — editing this repository. If you are an AI assistant, read this before changing anything here.

What this is

A skill suite for AI coding agents. Twenty skills, fourteen slash commands, eight subagents, and read-only helper scripts. There is no application here — no build, no runtime, no dependencies. The deliverable is prose that changes how an assistant behaves.

That makes the editorial standard the entire quality bar.

Structure

.claude-plugin/ marketplace.json + plugin.json — the install manifests
skills/<name>/
SKILL.md frontmatter + focused body (loaded when triggered)
references/*.md depth, loaded only when that skill asks for it
templates/*.md things a user copies and fills in
  scripts/*.{sh,ps1} read-only helpers, both platforms
commands/snr-*.md slash commands
agents/snr-*.md subagent definitions
assets/ banner.svg, mark.svg, devleck-logo.png
install.sh / install.ps1 installers with auto-detection and --dry-run

The rules

1 · Every claim must be checkable. If a reader cannot tell whether they have complied, the instruction is not finished. "Add proper validation" fails; "validate the body with a schema at the route boundary, rejecting unknown fields — verify by posting an extra field and expecting 422" passes.

2 · Every finding needs a verification step. The format throughout is what is wrong → why it matters concretely → the fix → how to verify the fix. Keep it.

3 · Never fabricate. No invented version numbers, CVE ids, API signatures, benchmarks or statistics. Where a fact changes over time — framework behaviour, an advisory, a store policy — write "check the current documentation", never an assertion. This is the rule most often broken and the one that does the most damage.

4 · Prefer boring and reversible. The suite deliberately refuses to recommend microservices, Kubernetes, event sourcing or CQRS without the specific problem each solves. Do not add premature complexity back in because it sounds senior.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
