toolchain-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

toolchain-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from kodown1k/toolchain-mcp. It costs 1,938 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a Claude Code project that connects an AI assistant to GitLab, Jira, Redmine, Mattermost, and Harbor. They describe the project structure, commands, language rules, and version limits.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when developing or maintaining this MCP server, especially when running checks, adding connectors, or working with its supported service versions.
Why use it?
They give the assistant the project-specific rules needed to build, test, and change the code without guessing how it works.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01938 $0.01938
Opus 5 $0.00969 $0.00969
Sonnet 5 $0.00388 $0.00388
Haiku 4.5 $0.00194 $0.00194

Measured 8d ago against content hash cdd8dfd5146d, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

toolchain-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

Komendy

npm run build # tsc -p tsconfig.build.json → dist/ (scripts/ importują z dist, NIE src!)
npm run typecheck # tsc --noEmit
npm test # vitest run (całość, offline — FakeHttp, bez sieci)
npx vitest run test/jira.test.ts # pojedynczy plik testowy
npx vitest run -t "degraded" # testy pasujące do nazwy

Architektura (big picture)

Przepływ startu: index.tsparseConfig(process.env) (zod, prefiks TOOLCHAIN_MCP_) → createHttpClient(config)buildServer() → stdio transport.

Kontrakt connectoraregisterXxxTools(server: McpServer, ctx: ConnectorContext): void w src/connectors/<serwis>.ts. buildServer (src/server.ts) woła go tylko gdy komplet zmiennych credentialowych serwisu jest ustawiony (config.<svc> istnieje). Brak env = connector nie rejestruje żadnych tooli. Analogicznie registerXrefTools sam decyduje: xref_ticket gdy Jira ∨ Redmine, xref_find_user gdy ≥2 z {Jira, GitLab, MM}.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
