konseki-mcp: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

konseki-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from konseki-official/konseki-mcp. It costs 573 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of AGENTS.md instructions for contributors and coding agents working on the Konseki MCP server, which connects AI tools to Konseki’s public trading API.

In plain words
What is it for?
For guiding code, content, configuration, and documentation changes in the repository. It covers the project context, public API contract, security boundary, and code standards.
Why use it?
It keeps repository changes consistent with the project’s API boundaries, coding rules, and confidentiality requirements. It also prevents agents from adding private credentials or changing raw market data.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00573 $0.00573
Opus 5 $0.00287 $0.00287
Sonnet 5 $0.00115 $0.00115
Haiku 4.5 $0.00057 $0.00057

Security

Grade A, and why

konseki-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Repository Agent Guidelines

These instructions are for automated coding agents and maintainers working in this repository. They apply to code, content, configuration, and documentation changes for the Konseki MCP server.

Project Context

This repository is the public MCP adapter for the Konseki public API. It is intended for AI trading users and AI trading tool builders who want AI agents to call Konseki's API through Model Context Protocol tools.

The MCP server must stay a direct wrapper around documented Konseki API endpoints. It should fetch and return API responses without interpreting, ranking, scoring, summarizing, or transforming the market JSON.

Confidentiality Boundary

  • Treat all repository content as publishable. Keep private infrastructure details, credentials, customer data, operational logs, and unpublished implementation assumptions out of committed files.
  • The MCP server must call the public Konseki API with a user-provided X-API-Key.
  • Do not require or document non-public service credentials for using this package.
  • Keep examples safe and explicit that interpretation logic belongs to the user, builder, or downstream AI client, not to the official MCP wrapper.

API Contract

The initial MCP tool surface should map directly to the public API:

  • get_konseki_metadata wraps GET /v1/metadata.
  • list_konseki_symbols wraps GET /v1/symbols.
  • get_konseki_analysis wraps GET /v1/analysis/{symbol}-{exchange}?lookback={lookback}.

Preserve API response payloads as-is. If MCP-specific framing is required by the SDK, keep it minimal and make the raw API payload clearly available.

Code Standards

  • Use strict TypeScript.
  • Keep the core wrapper small, typed, and dependency-light.
  • Keep tool definitions, API client code, configuration loading, and examples separated.
  • Validate MCP tool inputs before making API calls, but do not alter the returned Konseki API JSON.
  • Avoid adding dependencies unless they clearly improve the MCP server implementation.
  • Do not log raw API keys or include them in thrown errors, snapshots, examples, or test fixtures.
  • Tests should use mocked Konseki API responses and fake API keys.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
