playpen-pf-mig-skills: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

playpen-pf-mig-skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from konveyor-ecosystem/playpen-pf-mig-skills. It costs 1,116 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Instructions for an experimental toolkit that helps migrate PatternFly 5 code to PatternFly 6. PatternFly is a user-interface design system, and migration means updating code to a newer version.

In plain words
What is it for?
Prototyping migration patterns, testing automated refactoring, documenting findings, and keeping Goose recipes and agent skills aligned.
Why use it?
They keep migration experiments, scripts, notes, and agent workflows focused and consistent across supported agent formats.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01116 $0.01116
Opus 5 $0.00558 $0.00558
Sonnet 5 $0.00223 $0.00223
Haiku 4.5 $0.00112 $0.00112

Security

Grade A, and why

playpen-pf-mig-skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

Repository Purpose

This is an experimental playpen for prototyping AI agent skills and tools that assist with migrating PatternFly 5 (PF5) codebases to PatternFly 6 (PF6). The focus is exploratory and educational.

What Belongs Here

  • Agent prompts, workflows, and evaluation harnesses
  • Scripts and tooling for migration experiments
  • Notes and findings from migration trials
  • Small, focused proof-of-concepts for automated refactoring

Guidelines for Contributions

When adding experiments or skills:

  • Keep contributions small and focused on a single migration pattern or agent capability
  • Include context or notes explaining what was learned
  • This is not a production toolchain - prioritize learning over polish

Code Migration Skill / Recipe

The code migration workflow is implemented across three parallel systems targeting different agent runtimes. These must be kept in sync.

Mapping

Goose (recipes) Claude Code / Gemini (skills + agents) Inline skill
goose/recipes/migration.yaml skills/code-migration/SKILL.md skills/code-migration-inline/SKILL.md
goose/recipes/subrecipes/*.yaml agents/*.md Instructions inlined in SKILL.md and targets/
goose/recipes/targets/*.md skills/code-migration/targets/*.md skills/code-migration-inline/targets/*.md
goose/recipes/scripts/*.py skills/code-migration/scripts/*.py skills/code-migration-inline/scripts/*.py
  • Recipes (docs) are Goose YAML files with Jinja templates ({{ param }}), prompt: / instructions: sections, and typed parameters:.
  • Subrecipes (docs) are child recipes invoked via the subagent tool. They have structured parameter passing via values:.
  • Skills (Claude docs, Gemini docs) are SKILL.md markdown files with YAML frontmatter. No Jinja templates.
  • Agents / Subagents (Claude docs, Gemini docs) are markdown files in agents/. They receive information via natural language from the main agent, not structured parameters.
  • Inline skill (code-migration-inline) has all subagent instructions embedded directly in SKILL.md and targets/. Use this when the runtime supports skills but not subagents.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
