proton-bridge-mcp AGENTS.md

proton-bridge-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from krantiutils/proton-bridge-mcp. It costs 144 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a project that sends and verifies threaded replies through Proton Mail Bridge. Proton Mail Bridge is a local service that lets programs use Proton Mail through email protocols such as SMTP and IMAP.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when finding a conversation anchor, preparing or sending a threaded reply through SMTP, checking the sent message, and handling credentials safely.
Why use it?
They reduce the risk of replies becoming separate conversations or being sent without the required checks and permission.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00144 $0.00144
Opus 5 $0.00072 $0.00072
Sonnet 5 $0.00029 $0.00029
Haiku 4.5 $0.00014 $0.00014

Measured 4d ago against content hash 77712a4eaed7, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

proton-bridge-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent Notes

This repository is intended for coding agents that need to send or verify Proton Mail Bridge replies.

Use the SMTP path for actual threaded sends. Avoid IMAP APPEND for reply drafts, because Proton Bridge can rewrite the draft into a new Proton-internal conversation.

Safe threaded-send checklist:

  1. Find the thread anchor with proton_latest_thread_anchor.
  2. Confirm the sender, subject, message_id, and references.
  3. Dry-run the reply tool.
  4. Ask for explicit permission before setting confirm_send: true.
  5. Verify the sent copy with proton_verify_sent.

Credentials must come from environment variables and must not be committed.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
