CLAUDE.md

delightful-design-system CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from kylesnav/delightful-design-system. It costs 396 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of project instructions for maintaining a design-system website and its related platform repositories. The design system is a shared collection of visual rules and components for building consistent interfaces.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when editing the design-system pages, checking visual states such as mobile or dark mode, running tests, or coordinating releases across related repositories.
Why use it?
It clarifies which files are authoritative, how to validate changes, and how to version the main site without duplicating platform-specific copies.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00396 $0.00396
Opus 5 $0.00198 $0.00198
Sonnet 5 $0.00079 $0.00079
Haiku 4.5 $0.00040 $0.00040

Measured 10d ago against content hash 00c7ab0bce85, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

delightful-design-system CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Delightful

Public site and source-of-truth reference for delightful.build.

Source of Truth

delightful-design-system.html is the canonical design-system reference. The other HTML pages are companion references and demos:

  • index.html — GitHub Pages root redirect to the design-system reference
  • delightful-color.html — color architecture explorer
  • delightful-motion.html — CSS motion catalog
  • delightful-animation.html — JavaScript animation demos

Standalone ports live in sibling repos under ../. Do not recreate local port copies in this repo.

Validate

npm install
npm test

For visual work, open the affected HTML page in Browser and capture desktop/mobile, light/dark, and reduced-motion states where relevant.

Versioning

npm run bump <version>

This bumps only the root package and creates a tag for the delightful.build site repo. Platform ports version themselves in their own repos.

Ecosystem Repos

Conventions

  • All source colors use OKLCH.
  • Token architecture: primitives -> semantic -> component. Components never reference primitives directly.
  • HTML files are self-contained; no external dependencies except optional web fonts.
  • CSS uses cascade layers: @layer reset, primitives, semantic, component, utilities.
  • Shadows use hard zero-blur offsets plus ambient depth. Borders are 2px solid by default.
  • Preserve CNAME; the canonical public URL is https://delightful.build/.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
