akidevrule: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

akidevrule CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from lacvietanh/akidevrule. It costs 1,363 tokens per session, scanned B, original, MIT.

A project guide for packaging shared rules and skills for several AI coding tools, including Claude Code, Gemini, Codex, Kiro, and Grok. It identifies the original files that must be edited and the generated files that should not be edited directly.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when authoring reusable agent rules or skills, updating the installer’s source files, or distributing the same guidance across supported coding tools.
Why use it?
It keeps the different copies of the agent guidance consistent and prevents changes from being made in generated output. It also separates general rules from tool-specific settings.

Written for Claude Code: the file is CLAUDE.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code.

This is lacvietanh/akidevrule's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on akidevrule itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything akidevrule configures →

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Security

Grade B, and why

akidevrule CLAUDE.md scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

akidevrule

This repository is the source of truth for Aki's reusable Claude Code rule and skill baseline.

Project role

akidevrule packages Markdown rules, Claude Code skills, global Claude guidance, and installer fragments so the same baseline can be installed into another user's local Claude environment.

Treat this repository as a standards distribution project, not as an application repository.

Source of truth

  • Edit canonical rule and skill content in this Git repository first.
  • payload/ contains the packaged Aki rule corpus installed to ~/.aki/akidevrule. docs/ is repo-internal and never installed, with one exception: docs/ref/macos-codesign-tcc.md, a lookup with no RULE-/METHOD- shape, which install.py deploys to ~/.aki/akidevrule/docs/ref/.
  • skills/ contains the shared Agent Skills corpus (the SKILL.md open standard) deployed unmodified to ~/.claude/skills/, ~/.gemini/config/skills/, ~/.agents/skills/ (Codex CLI), ~/.kiro/skills/ (Kiro CLI), and ~/.grok/skills/ (Grok CLI) — see docs/ref/agent-skills-standard.md.
  • claude/ contains Claude Code-only runtime assets (CLAUDE.md template, agents/ definitions, hooks, settings fragment) installed to ~/.claude. agents/*.md is Claude Code's own agent format and lives here, not in a vendor-neutral top-level folder, because that format currently has one implementation — unlike SKILL.md, which has five. It is copied per file into a directory shared with the user's own agents, so it is never mirrored with --delete.
  • README.md documents the architecture, file conventions, and install flow for both humans and agents. Read it when you need to understand the full layout or how the smart router works. It is not an agent instruction file — it does not override this CLAUDE.md.

File naming conventions

Files in payload/ follow this convention:

  • RULE-*.md — constraint rules: behavior, coding, content, stack requirements.
  • METHOD-*.md — analytical frameworks loaded on demand for auditing or optimization tasks.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
