Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00424 | $0.00424 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00212 | $0.00212 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00085 | $0.00085 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00042 | $0.00042 |
Grade A, and why
pi-vim AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
What it actually says
AGENTS.md
This repo is not expected, for now, to be imported as a dependency; treat exported internals as pi-vim-local unless documented otherwise.
For every new or changed Vim-like feature, add curated nvim parity coverage in test/nvim-parity*.ts unless the behavior is intentionally not Vim-compatible. If it is an intentional divergence, make that explicit in tests and documentation.
Known nvim parity gaps may live as skipped tests. Apply the boy scout principle: when a branch touches the relevant behavior, unskip and fix nearby skipped parity cases alongside the branch's own change, or document why the gap remains out of scope. Do not batch unrelated parity fixes into a conflict-heavy branch.
Behavior the harnesses cannot reach — the terminal, Pi's own prompt widgets, a real paste, a wrapping extension — is checked by hand. A branch that adds or changes such a TTY-only surface updates the maintainer QA runbook (kept outside the published tree) and adds or adjusts the corresponding simulated tests in-repo.
doc/dev/scoreboard.md is generated, never hand-written: it reports parity, unit, performance, and package-footprint numbers straight from the harnesses. Run npm run scoreboard -- --write after a branch changes parity coverage, adds a benchmark, or moves a pack:check budget.
Perf and hot-path changes — pull requests included — must clear the evidence bar in doc/dev/render-perf-strategy.md: land before/after benchmarks on the documented input set, and defer by default when there are no numbers.
When reviewing changes — including agent self-review before opening or merging a PR — follow doc/review-guidelines.md; its project-specific MUST-flag rules take precedence over general review heuristics.
npm publishing is automated in CI (.github/workflows/publish.yml): every push to main publishes the package.json version if it is not already on npm. Do not run npm publish or ask for publish access — to release, bump the version in package.json.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pi-vim AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository lajarre/pi-vim (94 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 424 tokens to every session, about $0.0021 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
