metagenesis-core-public: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

metagenesis-core-public AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from Lama999901/metagenesis-core-public. It costs 2,121 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for MetaGenesis Core, a project that records how a computer produced a result so others can verify it later. They tell coding agents what to read, what the project prioritizes, and which claims and rules must be followed.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when an AI agent works on MetaGenesis Core, especially when reviewing the project, changing code, or checking scientific claims and known faults.
Why use it?
They help an agent understand the repository before editing it and reduce the risk of making unsupported claims or breaking project requirements.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions AGENTS.md.

This is Lama999901/metagenesis-core-public's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on metagenesis-core-public itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02121 $0.02121
Opus 5 $0.01060 $0.01060
Sonnet 5 $0.00424 $0.00424
Haiku 4.5 $0.00212 $0.00212

Measured 10d ago against content hash 5701c2dcc41d, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

metagenesis-core-public AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md — Rules for AI Agents Working in This Repo

v1.0.0-rc1 | 20 claims | 2428 tests | 22 agent checks This file tells Cursor, Claude, Copilot, and any AI agent the rules of this repo. Read CLAUDE.md first — it is always more current and wins all conflicts.

MISSION IN ONE SENTENCE

MetaGenesis Core is a notary for computations — we certify that a computer produced exactly this result, at exactly this time, in exactly this way. Without access to the computer. Without trusting anyone. In 60 seconds.

The first paying customer ($299) is the top commercial priority. Every change must serve credibility, adoption, or client conversion.

HOW TO FULLY ORIENT YOURSELF (read in order)

1. CLAUDE.md ← PRIMARY: mission, traps, technical rules — READ FIRST
2. AGENTS.md ← this file: hard rules, claim procedure
3. README.md ← architecture, claims, quickstart
4. llms.txt ← LLM-optimized repo summary
5. reports/canonical_state.md ← verified claim list (LOCKED)
6. reports/scientific_claim_index.md ← all 20 claims with thresholds
7. reports/known_faults.yaml ← known limitations, do not overclaim
8. docs/PROTOCOL.md ← full protocol specification

Before any task: python scripts/agent_learn.py recall

What this repo is

MetaGenesis Core is an open verification protocol layer. It implements the MetaGenesis Verification Protocol (MVP) v1.0. It makes computational claims tamper-evident, reproducible, and independently auditable offline by any third party.

It is NOT a simulation platform. It is NOT an AI coordination system. It IS a governance + evidence + verification pipeline. It IS patent pending (USPTO #63/996,819).

Hard rules — never violate these

1. Never invent implementations. If a file, function, or test does not exist in the repo, say: "Not found in current project context. Please add: " Do not generate placeholder code and claim it is real.

2. steward_audit must PASS after every change.

python scripts/steward_audit.py
# → STEWARD AUDIT: PASS (required before any merge)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
