AGENTS.md

ultrabrain-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from LCV-Ideas-Software/ultrabrain-mcp. It costs 1,871 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of project instructions for AI agents working on the ultrabrain-mcp TypeScript repository. MCP is a standard way for an AI agent to communicate with external tools and services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing, testing, packaging, or preparing releases for the ultrabrain-mcp project.
Why use it?
It gives agents the repository's required structure, naming rules, tests, formatting checks, packaging checks, and release constraints. This helps prevent invalid changes or accidental publishing.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions Claude Code; mentions AGENTS.md; mentions Codex.

This is LCV-Ideas-Software/ultrabrain-mcp's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on ultrabrain-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ultrabrain-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01871 $0.01871
Opus 5 $0.00936 $0.00936
Sonnet 5 $0.00374 $0.00374
Haiku 4.5 $0.00187 $0.00187

Measured 7d ago against content hash 3d1921faa07e, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ultrabrain-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Runtime Shape

This repository is a TypeScript MCP stdio server. Source lives in src/, build output lives in dist/, and the runtime entry point is dist/index.js.

The public MCP surface is LCV-branded. Tool names must use the ultrabrain_* prefix. Do not add legacy third-party tool names as public aliases.

Mandatory Gates

npm test
npm run biome
npm run format:public:check
npm pack --dry-run

For local MCP runtime checks after installation:

ultrabrain-mcp

Do not run the server directly in a blocking shell unless it is attached to an MCP client or a smoke harness; stdio MCP servers wait for protocol input.

Release and Publishing

  • Do not publish from the workstation.
  • auto-tag.yml creates the padded display tag (v00.00.00) from package.json.
  • The first public release is v01.00.00 from npm package version 1.0.0.
  • publish.yml publishes to npmjs.com and GitHub Packages, then creates the GitHub Release.
  • GitHub Pages serves site/ through the custom domain ultrabrain-mcp.lcv.dev.
  • Third-party actions must remain pinned to reviewed immutable commit SHAs.

Security

  • Do not commit node_modules/, dist/, .env, API keys, MCP bearer tokens, or local host configs.
  • This package is local-first and must not add external LLM/API calls without an explicit design decision.
  • Keep development checkout and global installation separate. Do not use npm link or create a junction from C:\npm-global\node_modules\@lcv-ideas-software\ultrabrain-mcp to this workspace checkout.

Workspace Policy

Follow the workspace-root AGENTS.md directives of the private workspace that hosts this checkout (not versioned in this public repository). In particular: no self-review in cross-review gates, ultrabrain plus cross-review before substantive closure, and main as the deployment branch. Trocas mecanicas de Actions dispensam cross-review; mudancas substantivas continuam sujeitas ao gate. Commit & Sync ocorre somente depois da auditoria final, quando solicitado.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
