Cardano MCP — Project Brain
Read this fully before touching any file. This is the single source of truth for architecture, decisions, and current state.
What we have built
This project has four parts:
1. MCP Server (src/)
A production-grade Model Context Protocol server that gives AI agents deep, idiomatic access to the Cardano blockchain — UTxOs, native assets, smart contracts, indexers, and on-chain governance. Developers using Claude can build full Cardano dApps without leaving their AI coding session.
2. Documentation site (docs-site/)
A Nextra v3 static docs site deployed at cardano-mcp.dev. Fully built, mobile-optimised, dark-only theme. Covers installation, configuration, all 6 modules, and Cardano concepts. Note: its tool count (docs-site/data/tools.generated.json) currently lags the server — see the tool count note under Completion status.
3. Claude Code plugins (plugins/)
A small marketplace of four focused Claude Code plugins built on the MCP server (registered via root .claude-plugin/marketplace.json), following a "verification over trust" pattern — see each plugin's own README for details:

4. Demo app (demo-app/)
A Vite + React browser client with its own Express bridge server
(demo-app/server.ts) that wraps the same Blockfrost/Koios calls the MCP
server makes and exposes them as plain HTTP endpoints — for exercising
Cardano queries from a browser UI without going through MCP. It does not
call the MCP server directly; it's a parallel, standalone implementation
for demo purposes.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
