GEMINI.md

Cardano-mcp GEMINI.md is an instructions file for Gemini CLI from lidonation/Cardano-mcp. It costs 3,036 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for building Cardano-mcp, a Cardano project with six modules and 28 tools, including its purpose, technology choices, structure, and required build order.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing Cardano-mcp or deciding how to extend its modules and tools.
Why use it?
It keeps development aligned with the project’s documented design and prevents changes that bypass its stated structure or decisions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03036 $0.03036
Opus 5.5 $0.01214 $0.01214
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00607 $0.00607
Haiku 4.5 $0.00304 $0.00304

Measured 2mo ago against content hash ac72d8a4cafe, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

Cardano-mcp GEMINI.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Cardano MCP — Project Brain

Read this fully before touching any file. This is the single source of truth for architecture, decisions, and context.

What we are building

A production-grade MCP server that gives AI agents like Claude deep, idiomatic access to the Cardano blockchain — smart contracts, UTxOs, tokens, indexers, and on-chain governance. The goal: a developer using Claude should be able to build a full Cardano dApp without ever leaving their AI coding session.

This fills a real gap. Solana has 40+ MCPs. EVM has 30+. Cardano has nothing dedicated.

Tech stack — NEVER deviate without updating this file

Layer Choice Why
Language TypeScript (strict) MCP SDK is TS-first, best type safety
MCP SDK @modelcontextprotocol/sdk latest Official Anthropic SDK
Schema validation zod MCP SDK expects Zod schemas
Primary blockchain API Koios (api.koios.rest/api/v1) Free, decentralized, full governance support
Secondary API Blockfrost Widest coverage, best SDK ecosystem
High-perf UTxO queries Maestro (mainnet.gomaestro-api.org/v1) 9x faster multi-address UTxO queries
Event watching Kupo (local sidecar) Pattern-based UTxO watching, persists across restarts
Smart contract language Aiken awareness Inject context, validate snippets via CLI
Off-chain tx building Mesh SDK (@meshsdk/core) Best TS tx building for Cardano
Runtime Node.js 20+ LTS Required by MCP SDK
Package manager pnpm Faster, strict deps
Testing vitest Fast, ESM-native

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
