claude-ops: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

claude-ops AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from Lifecycle-Innovations-Limited/claude-ops. It costs 285 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A project instruction file for coding agents working on the claude-ops Claude Code plugin, a collection of reusable AI-agent tools and automation. It explains the project layout, supported systems, commands, and safety rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when installing, testing, linting, loading, or modifying claude-ops. It also guides agents around Node.js versions, macOS daemons, and secret scanning.
Why use it?
It prevents agents from running commands in the wrong directory, treating the plugin like a web app, or committing secrets. It also clarifies which features work only on macOS.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions Claude Code; mentions AGENTS.md.

This is Lifecycle-Innovations-Limited/claude-ops's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on claude-ops itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything claude-ops configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00285 $0.00285
Opus 5 $0.00143 $0.00143
Sonnet 5 $0.00057 $0.00057
Haiku 4.5 $0.00028 $0.00028

Measured 8d ago against content hash 73f179c2645f, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-ops AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md

Cursor Cloud specific instructions

claude-ops — a Claude Code plugin ("Business Operating System": skills, agents, hooks, daemons). Not a web app; there is no HTTP dev server. Node 18+ (CI uses 20).

Layout

The repo root is a Claude Code marketplace; the actual plugin lives one level down at claude-ops/claude-ops/. Run npm/test/lint commands from there.

Commands (run from claude-ops/claude-ops/)

Action Command
Install npm ci (node_modules/ is committed intentionally; usually a no-op)
Lint npm run lint (Prettier --check)
Test npm test (runs tests/run-all.sh + secret-scan; ~25 checks)
Load plugin from repo root: claude --plugin-dir ./claude-ops/claude-ops then /reload-plugins

Gotchas

  • Public repo — no PII/secrets in commits; npm test includes a secret scanner that must pass.
  • Designed for macOS (launchd daemons, Keychain); on Linux the plugin/skills/tests work but some daemons are macOS-only.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
