embodied-claude: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

embodied-claude AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from lifemate-ai/embodied-claude. It costs 806 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a Python workspace containing several MCP servers, which are small programs that let an AI use external tools or devices.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them to work on the webcam, PTZ camera, speech, memory, temperature, or installer packages and run their tests or linters.
Why use it?
They describe the package layout and standard commands for installing, running, testing, and checking each server.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code.

This is lifemate-ai/embodied-claude's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on embodied-claude itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything embodied-claude configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00806 $0.00806
Opus 5 $0.00403 $0.00403
Sonnet 5 $0.00161 $0.00161
Haiku 4.5 $0.00081 $0.00081

Measured 8d ago against content hash 122b81e7de27, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

embodied-claude AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Repository Guidelines

Overview

This repository contains multiple Python MCP servers that give Claude “senses” (eyes, neck, ears, memory, and voice). Every Python package is a member of one root uv workspace and shares the root .venv and uv.lock.

Project Structure & Module Organization

  • usb-webcam-mcp/: USB webcam capture (src/usb_webcam_mcp/).
  • wifi-cam-mcp/: Wi‑Fi PTZ camera control + audio capture (src/wifi_cam_mcp/).
  • elevenlabs-t2s-mcp/: ElevenLabs text-to-speech (src/elevenlabs_t2s_mcp/).
  • memory-mcp/: Long‑term memory server (src/memory_mcp/) with tests in memory-mcp/tests/.
  • system-temperature-mcp/: System temperature sensor (src/system_temperature_mcp/).
  • installer/: PyInstaller-based GUI installer.
  • .claude/: Claude Code local settings.
  • Docs: README.md, CLAUDE.md.

Build, Test, and Development Commands

Run commands from the repository root.

  • uv sync: Install every workspace package and development dependency.
  • uv run --package <package> <server-name>: Start a server.
  • uv run pytest <package-dir>/tests: Run a package test suite.
  • uv run ruff check <package-dir>: Lint a package with its local configuration.

Coding Style & Naming Conventions

  • Python 3.13 is pinned at the workspace root.
  • 4‑space indentation, snake_case modules, test_*.py tests.
  • Ruff line length is 100; asyncio is the default style for async work.

Testing Guidelines

  • Frameworks: pytest + pytest-asyncio.
  • Tests live in each package's tests/ directory.
  • Example: uv run pytest memory-mcp/tests.

Configuration, Hardware, and WSL2 Notes

  • .env is not committed; pass camera credentials via environment variables.
  • ElevenLabs requires ELEVENLABS_API_KEY in the environment (see elevenlabs-t2s-mcp/.env.example).
  • Long‑term memory stores data under ~/.claude/memories/.
  • WSL2: USB webcams need usbipd forwarding; system temperature does not work under WSL2.
  • Tapo cameras require a local camera account (not the TP‑Link cloud account) and a stable IP is recommended.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
