Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00460 | $0.00460 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00230 | $0.00230 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00092 | $0.00092 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00046 | $0.00046 |
Grade A, and why
chezmoi-documentation-mcp-server AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 51 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md
Purpose
This repository contains a local MCP server for the official chezmoi documentation site.
Core responsibilities:
- Search the official chezmoi docs
- Read and convert docs pages to Markdown
- Extract specific sections from docs pages
- Stay safe-by-default for local MCP usage
Architecture
- Entry point:
src/chezmoi_documentation_mcp_server/server.py - Docs crawling, parsing, indexing, and tool guardrails:
src/chezmoi_documentation_mcp_server/docs_client.py - Tests:
tests/test_docs_client.py
Security Baseline
When changing this project, preserve these defaults unless the user explicitly asks otherwise:
- Keep the server on
stdiotransport by default - Never add stdout logging; use stderr-only logging if logging is needed
- Keep official-host allowlisting on by default for docs fetches
- Keep per-hop redirect validation in place
- Keep input size limits, response size caps, and output sanitization in place
- Keep tool rate limiting in place unless replaced by something stricter
- Do not add shell-based launch examples to the README
- Do not expand the fetch surface beyond the official docs host without documenting the risk
- Keep the
github-releaseenvironment gate and release-tag ancestry check in place - Keep build provenance attestation enabled for supported repositories

Change Guidelines
- Prefer additive hardening over broader capability
- If adding HTTP transport, OAuth, or remote hosting, do a separate security review
- If relaxing host restrictions for development, gate it behind an explicit env var
- Add or update tests for parser behavior and security validation whenever practical
- Keep README security notes in sync with the implementation
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

chezmoi-documentation-mcp-server AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository llamakko/chezmoi-documentation-mcp-server (0 stars, last pushed 25d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 460 tokens to every session, about $0.0023 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
