Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00928 | $0.00928 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00464 | $0.00464 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00186 | $0.00186 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00093 | $0.00093 |
Grade A, and why
knife4j-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 95 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Project Overview
This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Knife4j OpenAPI documentation. It converts OpenAPI specs to Markdown format and provides four MCP tools for LLMs to interact with API documentation, including fuzzy search capabilities.
Core Architecture
Single-file MCP Server (index.ts)
- MCP Server: Uses
@modelcontextprotocol/sdkwith both stdio and SSE transport modes - OpenAPI Processing: Relies on
[email protected]with built-in tolerant parsing (Chinese locale) - Document Storage: Thread-safe
DocsManagerclass with lazy initialization and concurrent request handling - Fuzzy Search: Uses Fuse.js for flexible API discovery across modules
- Transport Modes: Supports both stdio (default) and SSE server mode with
--sseflag
Key Data Structures
ApiDoc: Contains markdown content and structured module/API data with hierarchical organizationDocsManager: Encapsulates state management with batch query methods (findModules, findApis)
Four MCP Tools
list_modules- Lists all available API documentation modules with overviewlist_apis- Lists APIs within specified modules (batch query support)show_api- Shows complete documentation for specific APIs (batch query support)query_api- Fuzzy one-shot search across modules/APIs with optional direct view
Utility Functions
extractSectionContent(): Unified function for parsing Markdown sections by header levelextractModulesFromMarkdown(): Parses Markdown to extract module/API structuregetApiDetailsFromMarkdown(): Extracts specific API documentation sectionsescapeRegExp(): Escapes special characters for regex operations
Development Commands
# Install dependencies
bun install
# Build the project (compiles TypeScript to dist/)
bun run build
# Type checking without compilation
npx tsc --noEmit
# Run directly in stdio mode (development)
bun run index.ts
# Run in SSE mode for HTTP-based testing
bun run index.ts --sse
# Release workflow (version bump + publish to npm)
bun run release
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

knife4j-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository loosheng/knife4j-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 8mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 928 tokens to every session, about $0.0046 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
