Why use it?
It gives coding agents the project's folder layout, technologies, coding conventions, and styling rules so their changes fit the existing codebase.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01090 $0.01090
Opus 5 $0.00545 $0.00545
Sonnet 5 $0.00218 $0.00218
Haiku 4.5 $0.00109 $0.00109

Measured 9d ago against content hash 127e2307d2c6, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

primo-brutality AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Tech stack

  • React Native (not web React) — components use View, Text, Pressable, etc.
  • NativeWind v4 — styling via className props
  • Tailwind CSS v3 — brutal design tokens in tailwind-preset.js
  • TypeScript — strict types exported from packages/ui/src/index.ts
  • Vitest + Testing Library for unit tests
  • Storybook for visual docs and MDX reference pages

Conventions

Styling

  • Use NativeWind className — never inline style unless unavoidable
  • Merge classes with cn() from ../utils/cn
  • Brutal borders/shadows: use helpers in utils/brutal-border.ts (brutalRaisedEdgeClasses, etc.)
  • Layout gaps/alignment: use YContainer, XContainer, or shared presets from utils/layout.ts
  • Color/spacing tokens: prefer brutal-* Tailwind classes; raw values live in tokens/ and tailwind-preset.js

Components

Each component should have:

  1. Component.tsx — implementation with JSDoc on props (@defaultValue, @example, @link)
  2. Component.stories.tsx — Storybook stories
  3. Component.mdx — usage docs with copy-paste examples
  4. Component.test.tsx — behavioral tests (when logic warrants it)

Export new components from packages/ui/src/index.ts.

Naming

  • Variants: primary | secondary | ghost | destructive (buttons), semantic colors for alerts/badges
  • Sizes: sm | md | lg where applicable
  • Props extend the matching RN primitive (PressableProps, ViewProps, TextProps)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
